How has Sythe survived?

The staff are only people.

While they make mistakes, I'm pretty confident that their presence is greatly for the better than worse. Even if your friend was banned unfairly, Sythe in the end is owned by a person, and run by people, so there will be mistakes and generally, I'd guess that at least 98% of bans are fair or well deserved. When you're a community thriving off of a blackmarket for an online game, don't you think it's better to be safe than sorry when someone who potentially could cause havoc to the whole system of trade (which is the base and main factor of attraction to the site) is banned?

As fair as it can be, Sythe will never be a trading utopia, purely for the reason of the staff being ordinary people.

 

If you don't like sythe why don't you leave?
It's really sad too people who are just gunning down Sythe.org and the staff are still here,Still posting away.

I'm merely defending the people who get rid of scammers,spammers.
If all the scammers,spammers were gone Sythe.org would be a much better place.

 

I understand that,I maybe a "newfag" but I've been lurking maybe since late 07.
I can't even call some users legitimate as they get hundreds of postcount just from the RS2-Trading section,just by saying "yh add my msn","bump still 4sale"
I know i'll probably get flamed for this but Anyone that has checked that section is true.

 

So It would only be infringing JaGex's copyright If you made a phisher / private server per se

I assume your 'best friend' is Snowboard-Ninja. If you think he was banned unfairly, you are severely lacking the details. I recognized an account he was selling as a scammer/ban-evader's. So, I asked him if he was the original owner of the account to find out whether he was the same person, or just an unlucky buyer. Although he said yes, I had already figured out that he wasn't. When I confronted him with the lie and explained the implications of it, he immediately tried to backtrack and say he 'misunderstood the question'. Given that "are you the original owner?" is a difficult question to misinterpret, I gave him a TWC (which was, I think, rather generous).

Then he admitted in IRC that the accounts he sold were cracked. He tried to backtrack again, and say that by, "the accounts are cracked" he meant, he only thought they were. Even then, he was probably still only trying to weasel out of trouble; the fact that the accounts were illegit would explain why he would try to pretend to be the original owner of them in the first place.

If you still think he was unfairly banned, want to know what his new plans are? Go ask him about the Sythe pass cracker he's working on.

I have never banned anyone that I have not had reasonable justification for banning, and am irritated by your misinformed accusations.

 

Okay this really has turned out to be a 'hate yo' staff' thread.

I've got my answer so none of you really need to be posting.

As for the staff, they get my respect. I would never want to donate
the time that they have to a forum
