What do you think should be done to stop Scammers?

Ok, from what i understand, alot of people are getting scammed, and yes im gonna be honest, sythe's Blackmarket does have a bad rep for this. What do YOU think should be done to stop the scamming?
Any idea's, post here, and im sure a moderator/Site Admin will look at this and take it up into place. These ideas must be realistic.

ALWAYS ask for a PM. I've stopped many scammers by doing this. Use a MM or an OMM. Don't be naive.

 

Not allow trades without OMM or veryveryvery trusted MM.
Would stop all scamming kthxbye.

 

Scamming is easy to catch, like if u cant catch a scammer then you really have problems, if he doesnt wanna go first or use MM/OMM<--- obvs scammer and many people are already doing this and realizing that scammers are just geeky kids on the computer trying to get free stuff, the only thing we can do is report them.

If it's for RS, go second, then make sure they log on, then recover account, check their IP, track them down, shoot them

 

The easiest way of not getting scammed is mainly using a MM. That's how I escaped from most scams. If you want to have a successful trades, go for the ones who are legit with many vouches, also look through the posts in there thread if they had successful trades.

mm is a middleman, both traders give their things to him and he deals them to the other person

 

Though, he is still right, whenever you feel that your going to get scammed, please indeed use a mm then.

 

Only way to stop scamming is having the person who is being scammed to be smart, and think about every move they make.

"Always use a MM." - That would help, but if the person asked for a PM, then that would stop fake MM's, although peoples Sythe's account may get hacked along with an E-mail.

 

Maybe any account to be sold/bought must not have recovs,bank pin or email?

Or there should be made permanent mm's from all different timezones so then theres always a trusted mm online at ALL times.

anyone who gets scammed 99% of the time either got scammed by a true pro or is an idiot.

 

Whether in pixels or in real world, there will always be scammers.

From the above posts, use MM if the other party is fishy.
But of course, pick your MM as well. Must be trusted in your eyes.
Use your instinct.

I got scammed in my newbie days. About 3 times I believe.
Just some guides that I think would help.

1: If you spotted a scammer and have solid proofs, report them. Grats, you just help Sythe community ban a scammer.
2: Never look in post counts and say they are trusted by their post counts. That is kind of dumb. It is very easy to spam.
3: Always check their vouches. If legit, what kind of vouch, time posted of the vouch, who vouched them, did they went first, etc etc.
4: If possible, never go first.
5: Only go first that you took time to check if they are really trusted. That saves time looking for MM.
6: Never go first to new users. They are the mostly potential scammers. Most of them are just ban evaders.
7: If all else fail, use a really trusted MM. Check the MM's vouches, behavior, post and what kind of post they posted or just spamming non sense.

This things helped me evade scammers.
After I got scammed when I was a newbie, I started using a MM.
And luckily I crossed path with Dark and had him MM for me for a couple of times. Though not for free, at least he accepts RSGP as payment during in time of free trading was still allowed in RS.
After that, I only went first to trusted people, then people started trusting me.
I earned vouches from scratch and hard work.

And I'm darn proud of my vouches.
