Can't upload my avatar, even though it fits reqs

I have been told that the max file size is 1mb + scaling can be 200x200. The upload works when I scale it down to 150x150, but that'd be too small.

Honestly it's kinda depressing to not get any information or any errors when trying to upload an avatar that lacks on anything...

Been looking through some old problem-related threads but not satisfied.
Most of them just scaled down.

The avatar system sucks. It usually takes me like 10 tries to get it to work. Maybe try it again in a bit and see if that helps?

That's because it's been since 2000 that a developer actually worked on this website.

I think it has to do with the amount of frames someone has in their GIF. Try reducing the amount of frames if you know how to do it or ask your GFX designer.

 

You can direct your concerns to Richard or Matthew. It's not that no one has complained before; it's just that it's like #50 on the list of to-dos.

 

Been removing 25% of the frames, still not working. I think it's the scaling.

Been texting my GFX designer to render in 190x190, I will respond here if there are any news about this issue.

 

The quality of this one sucks. I dont want to lose a lot of quality so he has to render it in 190x190 again.
But I'll try to upload it I guess

 

190x190 works. So I just have to wait for my GFX designer to render it I guess. It still looks kinda small to me though, why is that?
