Other Game Market Mod?

Ok, So i was thinking about a conversion I had with DJWeasel (DJ) awhile back, and he tells me he sent Sythe a message about being an Xbox 360 mod and gives some good reasons of why he should be one/why there needs to be one.

He gets a message back a few days later, along the lines of, "There never will be an xbox 360 mod."


So now i propose what about an Other Games Section, mod? I assume Sythe said that to DJ because there are 2 mods that regulate the market sections.

I'm not trying to diminish the work of NickV or R2Pleasent, I just don't think I have ever seen either of them post/make a thread in the Other Game Section.

Sythe may not think its needed because its a smaller section compared to the black market for rs etc.

So then I ask about the other sections that are even less active and have mods, for example, the graphic section and user education section which have less activity then the Other game market.

Now below I have supplied 2 screen shots both taken around 4:15 AM Eastern time so both of them are taken at the same time and its not unbalanced as far as the time for better activeness is for the time they were taken, I'm also going to take more screen shots later on maybe after 8 hours at Noon, and some more in the evening to compare.

(I didn't register the time eastern when i signed up for Sythe.org so I guess its 4 hours ahead than my real time? idk)






I'm not even saying to make DJWeasel an Other Game market mod, I just feel there should be one to regulate that section of traders, but yes in my opinion if any one should deserve it, it should be Cambo iZ Yummy or DJWeasel, some of the people I trust on sythe and have traded with them on many occasions.

Using that logic we should get a Runescape Black Market moderator too.

 

Ugh, theres no need for them. Market moderators seem to handle those sections fine. We don't need too many people getting power.

 

pretty sure the rules also state DONT suggest new ranks.

 

Well, I spend about 80% of my time on Sythe in the other game market section. I rarely see any moderators post within the secton apart from R2Pleasant who has made the occasional visit.

It mainly seems to be games like Steam accounts, Habbo and Xbox live being sold.

I've been backseat modding in that section for a while now

 

too many people lol? all it would be was 1 person since its a small section, and the people i recommended 90%+ of the vouches are from xbox sales, DJ doesn't even play RS(Nor does Cambo iz yummy) he just hates when noobs say to him get a OMM, when he is clearly one of the most trusted in that section that posts daily.

DJ is also a guru with 50+$ donated I think he deserves something to that section, I have never seen a mod post in the xbox forum little in the other parts.

Was just a suggestion, no need to flame me.

And the flame above, so if not have a specified mod for a fairly large section then why have it for sections hardly active at all?.. if not have the mods regulate it more or assign more people to market mods to regulate the section more.?

 

I like this idea. I think there should be moderators who know what they're doing for each section. This isn't meant to be offensive to anyone, but not all Mods may know how Xbox Live codes and things like that work, as most of their trades may be done in the RS section. It makes viewing proof etc. harder if you don't understand how something works.

I support the idea of this.

 

It's a sub forum of the market, thus the market mod's role to clean that forum up. The only subforum that has ever had an exclusive mod was SFA and that's for a very good reason.

The user educators are not mods idiot. They post guides so don't try and use that. And you can't suggest new ranks, so sythe is right.

 

NickV is a very active moderate, perhaps Rs2Pleasent is not as active, but they are both very active and take their responsibility on Market very serious.

The last thing Sythe needs is another mod. NickV and Rs2Pleasent take care of the section very well.

 

All i got to say is .

 

I highly disagree with you here, I find scammers and ban evaders all the time in the Market Section. There have been some ban evaders that I have reported numerous times and are still trying to sell in the Market Place, I have even made topics in other sections letting the mods know about them and they still aren't banned. I think we need more Market Mods than anything else on this board, I personally think we have way to many globals.

As for new market mods, we would certainly promote more of them if anyone stood out. However, while stuffing globals into the market may clean up that particular section, it would simply leave other areas neglected.
