Rune Defender Inquiry

So, I've spent atleast 1000 tokens at the warrior guild and I've only gotten a steel defender, people say they can do it for 2 hours in the service and only need like 5 sets of iron armor. What is the trick to it?

 

No trick really...just a lot of kills...try doing it for xp...I always seem to get them faster when I do it for the xp and not defender.

 

i spent 3000 before i got bronze... was so bad Just luck

 

I personally did 1400 for Addy-rune. Rune took me an ass of a long time to get.

Wow, Ive taken 250 and got from mith to rune

 

Ring of Wealth is a waste.

But it only took me about 1.2K tokens to get from Iron-Rune.

 

It's luck, ROW doesn't help. Took me like barely any my first time. Second defender it took me ages.

 

Hey, a little while ago I heard a tip that really seemed to help me. You should only use 100-200 each trip, and you should probably get one, maybe two Defenders each trip.

I got bronze-rune on an account with only 2k tokens.

Most recently, it took me at least 4.5k tokens to do the same.

 

i actually just got mine 2 days ago it took me about 3 hours from a iron defender and about 500 token. i just had 2 adamant sets killed the animated addy armour for the tokens which its 30 each time you kill. what i did is i didnt wait for the monster to die or picked up their bones. bring a super set some food and just kill as fast as you can. i felt like the very back of the place was the way to go i got my black to rune back there =)) hope this helped.

 

Theres no luck , maybe ring of wealth is a "bit" helpful besides that its all luck mate

There is a thread on rs forums that describes a theory on how you get a defender quicker. He said that if you only camped out and kiled one everytime it respawns you won't get anywhere. But, if you can find an empty world and kill all the giants without anyone interupting you you will get a defender insanely quick. He got the idea because the girl you see infront of the door of the room with the giants says "One of these giants has the next defender you need." Meaning, one of them has the defender at all times. The reason at sometimes they work when camping, sometimes someone kills the one that your giant has and then it gets transfers to the one you are killing. To some this may a confusing theory but remember, it's only a theory. It seems to work for me so I beleive It.

Took me about 600 from no defenders to rune. Then I lost my rune, went to get another, only took 10 tokens. It's all luck.
