    Addition to sticky
    I'm suggesting an addition to this sticky: Accounts are ALWAYS recoverable, even with a Middleman/Recovery Test!

    From what I've seen, middleman recovery tests aren't as common anymore.
    Instead, lots of people believe that an account with no e-mail registered is a safe purchase.

    While it could make it harder to recover, this is simply not true. Like the thread says, accounts are ALWAYS recoverable.

    Suggestion, add:
    Do not be lulled into a false sense of security:
    • Using a middleman does not eliminate the chance of you being scammed, because the account can still be recovered.
    • An account with an unregistered email can still be recovered.

    Support maybe even more addition, The amount of people who believe 'no attached email' will make the account unrecoverable is staggering, they have no idea how things work if you ask them why they can't even tell you, also there is a method to unlink emails from accounts so it can be false anyways (it's not worth the effort but its possible). Ironically its usually safer if the seller has accounts with emails attached

    • Not having an e-mail registered to an account does. With enough creation details, this does not matter and the account can still be recovered.

      to

    • Not having an e-mail registered to an account does NOT mean it cannot be recovered. The original owner can always recover the account irrespective of whether an email is linked or not.

    Yup yuuup, support this. I had a friend lose money exactly like this a while back.
    I'll be honest though, I think there is a very small percentage of people that actually read the stickies, new or veteran. I know I never did when I started trading all those years ago, but I also had friends already in the markets to help me so I guess I was lucky that way.

    You're right, the majority might not read it. But for a relatively small change, I think it can still prevent a lot of people getting scammed making it still worth it.

    And who knows, a small group reading the stickies may result in that group telling this to their friends, ending up in lots of people knowing about it :)
