Okay there aren't many out there that fall under this genre by checking out:

Del Amitri - Right Time To Roll To Me (Favorite song by them <3!; Youtube it)
Alot of their songs aren't exactley like this but they have the same meanings as the snow patrol one.

The Used - I caught Fire

Just look around really and you'll find alot of good bands out there.
