[Approved] Allow Anonymous Suggestions

I feel a lot of people may chime in with biased opinions due to who submitted the suggestion.

Further, there may have been instances where one personally won't suggest something that they feel should be implemented because they don't want to be a grass on some exploit of rules etc. Or someone doesn't want to cause drama by suggesting something that may disrupt another's business.

You can always private message any moderator with your suggestion/feedback and we can make sure you stay anonymous while discussing your suggestion amongst other staff.

 

I support. As Pikachu said it's a good idea and it would encourage more suggestions making Sythe a better place in terms of community, trading, and safety.

 

Support, I've noticed there are a lot of replies to suggestions that are not constructive criticism but more of a personal grudge.
The more efficient discussion we get the better

 

I think we can allow guest posting in the Suggestions forum.

In the meantime folks can PM me whatever they want to post and I'll post it for you anonymously.

 

I'll support this, because I am in favor of promoting a constructive discussion and this suggestion adds to that, however, there is a counter-argument:

Having ran groups where anonymous posting was optional, I experienced that anonimity and toxicity are sometimes inseperetable. This may go at the cost of the substance of discussions. The last thing we want is for this place to resemble the spam section.

(Practical: guest post would also open the door to more spam, although I believe that can be combatting in numerous efficient ways)

 

I’d expect that staff would still be able to see guest’s and anonymous’s IPs and standard forum rules would still apply

 

Yes, rule-breaking would be filtered, just as it is now, however when I say toxicity I'm talking about stuff that falls in the grey area. It's a tradeoff that you can make yourself whether you want that.
