Jagex removing gold but not banning?

Hello everyone, so I just had a sorta weird experience. I've been selling gold off of my high level account past month made in 2005. An hour ago i was selling to a random dude, and a max main called something like ''MyMomP8sMyGp'' logs in and trades me. I trade this guy back, but quickly decline as i figure this is not the right guy. Seconds later the actual guy i'm selling to logs in, and i quickly deliver the gold and log out. A minute later i log in again, and the 1.3b cash stack is gone, and i have fishing bait in my inventory? Have any gold sellers had this experience? Did they not ban me because its a 15 year old account, or was they unsure whether it was rwt? I've spoke to some of my goldselling friends, and they have always gotten insta banned, and never had this happened to them.

 

Are you actually sure, that is what happened? It seems odd, and something i've never heard of before.

 

I'm pretty sure. I asked this guy whose been buying a lot of gold from me, and he - of course - said he didn't receive more, than he was supposed to. I believe him as I also got fishing bait in my inventory, which im positive he didn't give me. Might've been some way to troll me and swapping my gold with bait lol i don't know.. Never heard of this neither..

You can check RuneLite, if u have auto ss on every trade.

 

Try check your emails, I know a co worker of mine said they had this happen to them before. The gold was removed from their account but it wasn't banned

This was an account from 2005 with no email set, so i haven't received anything.. Was it a mistake that is was removed, or a mistake that it wasn't banned?

 

Not a mistake for them removing it, They could have flagged your account to see if you put more gold on it then it gets automatically banned once you put a certain amount of gold on it

 

Yeah might’ve been what happened. Seconds after i logged in this lvl 126 instantly came running to me and traded which i first accepted but then quickly declined, as my customer said this was not him. Then “fishing bait” appeared in my inv and stack gone.. he might have had a laugh about that lol

 

Update: Today i logged onto all my 10 accounts, and all of them had recently logged in about an hour ago, despite i just woke up. Someone has had access to my accounts somehow, which explains this 126 running up to me and trading. Kinda also explains the ''phishing/fishing bait'' in my inventory..

 

Okay, so it was a fact in j-mod that removed my coins. I woke up to my level 3 accounts being banned for RWT today, despite not having logged onto them for weeks and never used them to RWT. My two main accounts lvl 100+ have not been banned, even though these were the only accounts i used, and my gp were removed from these accounts. I suppose they have gotten flagged, and will be banned/gold removed if i ever sell gold from them again?

 

Who knows? Try it out. Use VPN. Use other accounts than just level 3. Experiment your way through. It's different for everyone.

 

fishing bait could be a hint for phishing, but who knows?

Seems like a cool story regardless. Nothing surprises me from Jagex.

 

I brought 500m earlier today and transferred 400m of it to my main and 100m stayed on the account I collected it on. I bought rune drag items to farm them and logged out after awhile. Logged in 20 minutes later my account is standing at ge with all items gone, bank reverted to like couple hours ago ?? GE had the items i bought still on history as well lol

The 400m on the main i traded had the gold still on there and nothing changed.

Maybe just started doing this? Cant be my account is flagged when i only buy 100-500m every few months
