ARC - PUBLIC pre-alpha released!

Updated, I added a feature to display the most recent news, with the date of publication and a link to read more.

Also: removing ads/StealRS is out of the question. Both manipulate the webpage which is exactly why most clients can warrant a ban, because they change things on their webpage to give the user of the client an unfair advantage. As for the hit calculator, I don't even know how I'd go about making that. I need to use reflection for the plugin system though, but realized that it's probably a lost cause. Instead, the plugin system will be an easy reference to applications, like an IRC client for instance, or an application link to Ventrilo or TeamSpeak

why the hell would you not block the ads?

jagex has ruled that alllllll third party game clients are against their rules, ad-blocking or not

Correct me if I am wrong.. but I think they can detect if the ads have been deleted. I'm not 100% sure due to the fact that I don't speak of the language and coding like some others do.

 

If they wanted to, they could, but they don't (or they do but just don't care at all).

The new detection system is in a folder called "jagex_cache_32" and inside the "runescape" part of that folder is a "jagmisc.dll" file. Open that with notepad and there will be a "GetActiveWindow" command so they can see what your using to access runescape. It's basically spyware.

Clients loading off a jar file = fucked.

My guess is if it detects a client that loads off a JAR file not off the RS website, it blacklists your IP, after which your account is probably investigated. Its a good idea to keep the client legit.

it doesnt let me open on vista. when ever i open it, it gives me a message box saying "ARC has stopped working" i wanna test this client out but it wont open

 

Hopefully you add in IRC, and a nice Screenshot system like SwiftKit, along with some other neet stuffz.

You most likely don't have .NET 3.5 installed.

 

It comes up with that Send error report and Don't send thing for me *sobs*

Please read the requirements before posting. You NEED .NET 3.5 to run this or else it will not work.

I'll be privately developing the client from now on. I just reviewed SwiftKit and it seems as though it will have no problem crushing ARC in terms of competition; I don't exactly see the point either, considering that nobody would use my client anyway.
