I just watched all the videos on that thread, and completely agree with you now. Forcing people to give charity, in order to accommodate other people's freedom to education is basically stealing.

 

Yeah those videos were cool. Sythe definitely played no small part in getting me to start thinking about freedom too.
I would use similar arguments against all those things we were talking about earlier too.

 

It wouldn't be profitable for them to "absorb any and all competitors"

 

The thing is, this government may be the reason that there are monopolies. This government takes so much of our money away with taxes, that it leaves some of us with no choice but to shop at Wal-Mart and eat at McDonalds because of their low prices. As far as I know, these two companies don't put much care into making their products, filling their foods with growth chemicals and pesticides, and having some 8 year old kids in China make TVs on assembly lines. If we had more money we would definitely buy more natural and durable goods that small businesses can offer.

I don't really know how this economy would function without a government, but without all the stupid rules and regulations, the turnout might be good.

 

When America's government was first set up, George Washington had one cabinet: National Defense. Now look at what we have; the government has set up everything from the FDA to minimum wage laws. Our tax system is so messed up, our own IRS chief doesn't even know how it works. The government is slowly sticking its nose into every aspect of the private sector. I have always considered myself a straight-shot conservative; now I find myself leaning towards libertarianism. I don't mind paying taxes, as long as they are going to the right programs, and especially not to some wino so they can buy cigarettes.

 

I hate dumbfucks who are into this conspiracy shit and try to interfere with the government... your not going to get anywhere and just live a normal life... shit

 

Yeah much better to just submit to the gang of thieves dictating your life.

 

And I hate dumbfucks like you who are too lazy to take the time to really think about what's going on and see how fucked up the government really is, and instead choose to live a "normal life."
