What is this super duper clever contraption I see before me, sir?
It's a Runescape client. You can use the different features to help you out while playing. THIS IS THE PRE-ALPHA WHICH MEANS IT'S IN NO WAY STABLE (note that even the title is a little bit offy)! A FULL, STABLE BETA RELEASE WILL BE COMPLETED SOON.

Features (please suggest more in this thread):
-Runescape news listings
-Date/time display
-Change the startup webpage to whatever you like
-Highscores display and info
-Take screenshots of the game window
-Combat calculator
-Experience calculator
-Addons system (not really addons though, more like a "Quick Launch Bar" or a "Desktop" within the client to quickly open your favorite files/apps)
-Gameplay timer
-World switcher (VERY basic, will most likely be improved on the next release)
-Account checker (check to see if a user exists or not)
-Notepad
-GE pricer (thank you to Banjo for most of it <3)
-Link to the Windows calculator
-Music player (does NOT work yet)

Future plans:
-Skin maker
-Working music player
-Gravestone timer
-Skull timer
-RSC world loader
-World map + "extra" features (don't want to reveal too much for the competition out there)
-Improved screenshot taker, with "extra" features
-More attractive appearance

Requirements:
-A non-dialup internet connection is strongly recommended
-Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 +
-512MB of ram or more is strongly recommended
-1024x768 resolution isn't recommended, but anything above that will be fine (client res is 1015x713)
-Both x86 and x64 systems are supported, as well as Windows 7

Blupig, I have a whole list of suggestions. Would you like to speak on AIM or MSN?

 

def. get rid of the ad's. they so annoying and make it so you can apply skins to it.

 

wat about the world swich, is that still needed since you can just use the runescape world swicher? nice job tho. add some skinning to it. and add some stealrs to it, it makes you have ads still. thats the way my client has it.

that will get you banned like he said, he doesnt want to add them.

 

like I suggested before, a hit predictor. It shows you what you will hit by calculating the Exp gained in the split second before the attack and dividing it by 4 (or something like this). This is a very useful tool for pking since it shows you your hit you will be able to know when to combo. E.g. You are pkin on your ranged/2h pure. You see that the hit you will do next is a 5. This isnt that great and wouldnt be the best time to whip out the 2h sword. But when you see a 14 you know to whip out the 2h and get the k0 fast. And since the predictor shows the hit b4 damage is done, combos will be quick and smooth.

 

Ooh, very nice. And Mike, that would require some very swift injection/reflection which would be pretty sketchy. This client looks very spiffy though, the combat calc is what won me over. Good job Phenomenon (hehe)

 

an excelent idea, would love to see this in the client.

 

Not to mention that would be very hard to do, considering the fact that this isn't loading the client directly, but rather loading it via the loader.jar on the website.

 

Im not sure how difficult it actually would be. I got the idea after seeing it on a script i downloaded for rsbot. Now the script worked fine and so did the hit predictor. And that was on the rsbot client while running a script (cow ranging or something). I think it could be done and would prove to be an important asset while pkin.
EDIT: ive seen all the calculators, hs lookups, etc. on a client before. The hit predictor would be unique, being as I have never actually come across one in a client. (besides the rsbot script) This would make me want to use the client. Other than that, it looksexactly like anyother client and even less appealing with ads. I think the predictor would appeal mostly to pkers but nevertheless your client would be used.

 

But you simply cannot do that without reflecting/modifying [upon] runescape.jar which you cannot do if you're loading it off the website as Blupig seems to be doing.

you trying to keep this a legit client? or idk of clients are agaisnt fagex rules but w/e

if not i say maybe add a autoclicker, autotyper and what not. that'll be kool.

 

Well rsbot is dead because of the fail programming and fail BCEL injection, so that's not the way blupig would wanna do it, but it is possible w/ reflection. Great idea though.
