Explanation of the trade:
I sold EpicMMO alot of OSRS gold and never had this problem until yesterday. I sold him 8b for 0.41 which amounts to 3280$ and he has sent me a bitcoin transaction with a 5 sat/b fee, which is retardedly low. (currently 10sat/b takes 24h+ to confirm). He reassures me, by literally lying that this is a normal fee and that it will confirm in no time. Now it's been a almost 24h and the transaction he sent got rejected by all pools.

How they scammed:
Well as you can see, I sent him the goods already and his transactions GOT REJECTED BY ALL MEMPOOLS. Meaning this transaction will never be processed. I will never see this money.

Hey friend, we have done so many trades recently. And always fast payment yeah ? blockchain usually processes payments fast with regular fee, but sometimes when btc goes up and down too frequently, the btc network will be slower ,which might take some days , i personally have many payments that takes 5-6 days. Please dont worry about the payment, it will go through 100%. its all about btc netowork.

Dude, this transaction has been refused by all mempools, meaning it clearly isnt going to go through until the sat/b fee goes down. Now so far it has, but what if btc is still going on an uptrend for a week? That would mean I would have to wait for the mempools to accept it?...

Those are things none of us can actually control.

Sorry for the scam report, but I did not like the fact that when the average fee for confirmation <24h was 11 sat/b you would tell me that a 5 sat/b was "normal" because it clearly was not.

I am willing to pay for additional costs for you to push the transaction through with a 90sat/b fee. I will pay these fees because we have never had any terms concerning this.

There is no freaking way i'm waiting 5-7 days for a confirmation man, sorry, but if you are actually collecting that from people I am also calling you out on this bullshit because you technically deliver gold after 1 confirmation right? So you're telling me that you "personally" have many payments from your customers that take 5-6 days before delivering their gold?

Look, just push the transaction, ill pay for the fees. The more you say the less it makes sense.

 

Dude if you doubled the sat/b to 10, it would have confirmed.

For a 3280$ transaction, I mean I would understand if the average fee was high, you could use a lower one that will eventually confirm like 40sat/b when average fees were 80sat/b... But at the moment fees werent even high and you're still doing it this low.

Just to understand how minuscule this is, the market price of a single M is more than that currently.

 

bro, tbh we always do regular fee which is defaulted and processed 30 minutes or so. no bs here you also know that. just wait a bit. i am really sorry about the wait.. but this btc sometimes confirms slower.. its a also a pain for us =/

and we agreeed i do higher fee for you in the upcoming transactions.. i really cant understand why you post here friend.. i even gave you suggestion on other payments methods.

 

Reasons for this thread:

1. You lied about the fee being normal despite me showing you it is not. You clearly did not care either and tried to save a whooping 0.36$.

2. I come back on 24h later and realize the transaction has been rejected by not 1, 2, 10, but ALL mempools. Meaning if the transaction fees don't go down then I can "get rekt" by your standards of business.

3. Your claims of you waiting 4-5 days for a confirmation are also what I call BS, because you never deliver unless its 1 confirmation to customers.

3. Being willing to compromise the trust of people you do business with over 0.36$. Holy fucking shit I cannot even begin to comprehend this one to be honest man, all our trades have been 2000$+. Were you trying to see if I would be taking your shit and pretending it's caviar? (courtesy of Savages for this one).

i will just pay the btc loss if its not 3280USD when it confirms. hope this makes you feel more comfortable. this is not what we want to see as well.. i send and receive btc payments a lot every day. Always send standard /regular fee and always confirm fast. Sorry again for the wait..

 

I don't need any extra, I just want it to confirm in a timely fashion because 5-6 days is atrocious business practice to let people wait for a confirmation, especially when you require a confirmation to give the gold to your own customers in the first place.

Again, I've told you I was willing to pay for the fees for you to push it but you don't seem to be able to using whatever you are using to send me btc.

I will keep waiting for this transaction to clear, and hopefully it does clear, because usually after around 3-4 days it will literally drop out of the mempool and either go back into the wallet you sent from (from which I hope is your own wallet, because if you used someone else to send me this btc then all that risk is on you unfortunately) or it will just keep rebroadcasting with the same fee.

On almost all major wallets, if im not mistaken, unconfirmed transactions that are over 3 days old are automatically rejected and the funds will go back into your wallet, so i'm not very inclined to believe your 5-6 days "normal" wait times for confirmations.

As far as i know, impossible to go back tho..and no way to accelerate it once sent ..if there is a way to push it. i am more than happy to do that as well.

 

Average fee now went up to 48 sats/b, not looking good for this.

There are ways to push it using RBF on Electrum wallet, but that would require you to pull your private key from your blockchain account and to enter it using Electrum wallet and just right clicking and selecting RBF (Replace By Fee) and selecting a higher fee. What this will do is send the same transaction with a new fee (that you will choose higher obviously).

Reason I don't mention this is because im not going to tell people to pull their private keys because I don't know how secure you actually are and I wouldn't want you to jeopardize your btc.

Well for now if Blockchain is a wallet that keeps rebroadcasting the same fee over and over never cancelling it, then this transaction will take like 1-2 weeks to confirm, in which case I dont even know what to say at this point, probly something about bad business practice.

Cant even use any accelerator on it either because the fee is so low they just wouldnt even take it lmao.

 

Transaction confirmed, thread can be closed. I got the bitcoin at the end and EpicMMOService has paid in full, but I do think the fee he used to send is bad business practice in my opinion.
