Runescape Q&A New skill.

Well of course jagex usually gives you a new skill every year but just something caught my eye a bit.. That i wanted to show people.

Don't you wonder what it is? Cause its been bugging me all day now >_<. There's been talk about how horses have been taken off the do not suggest list And sailing but what do YOU think it is. Personally i pray to god its mounting Summonouting? Lol yeah post your comments about what you think it may be. ^_^

A) Mod Mark - Dragon pickaxes will be released in the future. I can&#8217;t really say anything more than that, but it did come up in discussion this week, so we haven&#8217;t forgotten about it and we DO have a plan.

 

honestly i think jagex is running out of skills..Seriously, what could they add next?

Thats what I was thinking when I saw That. And Dragon pickaxe 2 things too look forward too.

 

sailing is my guess, the sailing skill cape on the home page and the symbols on the f2p banner

 

I hope that mounting will be a new skill and I also hope it'll be free. There hasn't been a new F2P skill since runecrafting.

Sailing might work if..

They release new islands to sail to, each with like boss's to kill for good items or shops selling stuff thats generally hard to get. They could make it that you need a certain sailing level to get to each island etc.

If you could fish off your boat, maybe release "whaling". So that you need maybe like 80 sailing + 85 fishing to catch whales or something like that.

It'd be good if you built the boat in your player owned house, if they added like a harbour in your player owned house and it required construction to build the boat. Higher construction levels mean you can build better boats etc.

I think they need to start combining skills like that. That way the stats benefit each other. Giving everyone more reasons to start raising their skills and it'd make it funner since the rewards would be a lot more rewarding.

 

sailing would be really sweet as to that whaling thing maybe they could make it kinda like barbarian fishing because wouldnt whaling take alot of strength in rl?

 

Hmm maybe they could give you a crew when you increase your sailing levels. That way it doesn't seem un-realistic being able to fish whales.

Whaling doesn't really take a lot of strength IRL, just a decent amount of people to all help out.

 

I heard it's sailing. In my opinion sailing would be a very dumb and pointless skill. I mean, the world map ends! And there isn't much space for tons of users to have their own boat, lol.

Other users on the official RS forums were talking about horseback riding. That would also be pointless and a fail because there is teleporting. And for those who can't teleport there are teleport tabs.

A user made me laugh before though. He/she suggested element bending, like from the cartoon Avatar the Last Airbender. That would have been really lame if every user had an elemental power that shoots out at their command, i.e. water shooting at people at your will. Again, there is magic for that kind of thing.

I'm really interested to know what kind of skill they really came up with. It better not be some expensive one like Summoning ...

 

Using a RuneScape Leaching program that Jethr0x posted, we can safely assume the Dragon Pickaxe will look like this.-Well I lost the picture, but it's basically a double-sided Dragon Axe.

And, the new skill could be something to do with wings?

Oh thats for one of the quests i forget which one sorry but that doesn't have much to do with anything atm but Nice find :]
