KittyClaws123123 Scammed me over OSRS Account

Bought a High lvl maxed account off him for 2.6b.. paid within a week.

Everything was going smooth, i transfered over a total of 1.2b to the account and began playing the game, weeks go by and everything as planned until the morning of july 1st 2020.

The account had been stolen, password changed and even recovery email changed.

If you look in the screen shot he had changed the recovery email from a ymail, to a gmail. It even begins with a S just like old recovery email which is the first initial of his first name.

So doing like anyone would i look at all the recovery details he sent me to recover the account come to find out, he deleted the file he sent over with all the recovery questions, proof of ips and such. luckily i had save the file a while back.
I pull up the recovery application, and all the recovery questions are different to what he provided to me in the details file he sent to me.
when i reached out he acted like he had no idea, and said he would help me with recovering after my first appeal went through which its day 4 and havent heard nothing back from jagex.

Please would a mod look into this. I will provide any info or screenshots that do contain sensitive info not to be displayed to the public.

 

The runescape name has been changed since the hijack so i know my attempt to lock the account failed, and someone is on the account.

he has recovered the account, i have edited the post and provided proof of him saying him and i are the only ones who have access to the account. so you tell me how do i wake up one morning and everything is changed?
Even when i try the recovery method the recovery answers he provided me are totally different.

 

The email beginning with an S is proof of scamming??? He left out the screenshot of me saying I would recover the account if his recovery attempt failed. He’s still waiting on his attempt with the correct email I provided him. I asked where there was a difference in JAG and recovery info from what I provided which he ignored. Yes, I deleted the file download off our discord (note the ONLY deleted message) because if one of our discords ever became compromised, I didn’t want all the account info sitting in a file that could be downloaded by anyone else. Our latest discord conversation was me waiting on him to tell me the outcome of his recovery attempt so I wouldn’t send in a recovery attempt with one already being out. He has not informed me of his recovery attempt failing therefore I have not yet put out an attempt.

yes, at the time of the sale, he and I were the only ones who knew of the account’s login. How am I responsible of what he does on his end from 4 weeks after the sold account? I ran a virus scan and nothing showed up and none of my other accounts I sold have had any other issues which leads me to believe he was at fault at his end.

 

Can one of you guys please upload screenshots of your full conversation, including the terms you agreed to in the end? Thanks.

I told you the answers were totally different than what you provided me, what more is there to say. Compared to the answers you gave me in the text file totally different. If only you and I were on the account and with me being as safe as I was with the account. (No gold purchasing, No sharing, PC security) there should be no reason I should wake up and everything changed. It just seems sketchy you would delete the text file within the discord conversation of all the recovery info, and even when I try to recover all the info is incorrect that you provided. I will be busy today because of the holiday I will upload those screenshots as soon as possible of our conversation.

edit: how is it "fishy" I delete a word document from our discord conversation after I tell you to DOWNLOAD the file? To access the email account that came with the rs acc, you had to have downloaded the file. After you downloaded the file I deleted the file as stated before in case someone had access to your/my discord acc they would have ALL the info. What sense does that make to delete a file after you have downloaded it?

seems to me you want to pin your lack of acc security on me. I've only offered to help in this situation, and if I had a virus/breach offered to REFUND everything you had lost. but instead you don't inform me if your recovery attempt worked or not. you simply say "they haven't responded" which probably means they are looking into it because they will inform you if a recovery attempt was rejected. and not only that you did not even ask me to recover the account myself and instead go straight into accusations.

I have yet to receive or hear anything back from jagex on the account. So me trying to do the right thing yes i reached out and told you, and yes you told me to keep you informed. As i looked into the like the i said the email had been changed, from all this do i think ive been scammed yes. I've kept the account security to the highest, not sharing, nor giving out the email address linked everything. Idk how else someone would have got into the account through my end and i think thats why i came to sythe to sort the issue. Yes seeing the recover email change from S***********ymail.com to S***********gmail.com it rose my suspicion. one thing i did notice you did mention a ip change for the infernal cape, is that because someone did it for you on the account if so that is one other person besides me an dyou on the acc.

If anything i just one, either want the account back or recovered properly and items / money refunded that i did have on the account, or refund the entire purchase of the account.

 

Wow you literally have literacy issues. The IP change is my IP to YOUR IP.

 

Thanks for your replies. I don't think deleting the file off of discord is sketchy, and you seem to be helping to the extent that you're able, which is great. Just to clarify, are you the original owner of the account?

If one of you could post the terms you agreed to at the time of sale (if there were any), that would still be useful - thanks.

 

yes, can't remember if I had a different TOS posted on my selling thread (unfortunately changed the contents of the whole thread to "sold" once the account was sold. I'm not sure if I can see my previous edits?

If not, I would adhere to Sythe TOS, and either way I have always offered to assist and he has NEVER requested my help in any way except to throw accusations my way.

 

I flipped back though, and it doesn't seem that you have any specific ToS.

It sounds like we just need to wait for a Jagex reply to @MachineGunMike's recovery request before we can really do anything more here.

 

From all this i either want the account recovered, or a refund thats all im coming on sythe for. I havent had any reason to believe that its on my side why the account is stolen. like i said i havent been a victim of any scam, or phishing. So the any other person would be the person who sold me the account. Jagex has yet to respond to my appeal.

 

Jagex has denied my appeal and the account is still being used from what I see, it has had another name change this morning.

 

I have told kitty this on discord and he has yet to respond to me asking for him to try to recovery.

You need to offer a refund or give @MachineGunMike his account back.

 

@KittyClaws123123 has been banned as it has become clear he recovered this account. He also owes 1b 07 on top of the account recovery. To be clear, total debt is 3.6b 07.
