To correct you a little bit. Nazi German was a national socialist party.
Fascism to be exist. In Fascism and Communism the nation is more important then a single person. But you are right, they are the same.
And if you Communism that much, have you ever thought to move to a Communistic state? I don't want to insult you, I just want to ask.

You are seriously a moron. You're contradicting yourself every word you say. You go from saying "if you ask anyone or look anywhere you will see that _____" then turn around saying that everyone else is misinformed, except you, of course.

    Nazism = National Socialism

    Socialism != Communism.

Where are you getting this information from?

First, Communism, by definition, requires the absence of a leader.

Second, Communism has a fatal flaw: Humans are inherently self-interested.

FDR did not lead the country out of a depression - WWII did that by giving a huge boost to the economy.

WWII was won by the Soviet military, not the United States.

Essentially, what I think is communism is indeed perfect, but people are not. In a perfect world it would work, everybody would have what they need, nobody would be hungry. But human greed, which will never be halted, makes it impossible to maintain.

How does a war boost an economy? War by definition involves the destruction of wealth and such - wouldn't it have been better if the money spent on war was either spent at home or not taken from the citizens in the first place?

War usually jump starts any economy in a slump...
It sends men out of country creating more available jobs.
It also increases the need of weapons, Metal production, importing and exporting of goods and more...

War is usually good for the economy.

If I were you I'd look up Bastiat's Broken Window Fallacy. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parable_of_the_broken_window)

What you are ignoring when you look at the war is the unseen, hidden costs. The money spent on the war (weapons, armies, etc) does indeed produce jobs, but when you focus on this you ignore what the wealth could have been used for if it had not been stolen from the private sector. If I may quote Dave Barry,

"See, when the government spends money, it creates jobs; whereas when the money is left in the hands of taxpayers, God only knows what they do with it. Bake it into pies, probably. Anything to avoid creating jobs. "

Basically what I'm saying is that the metal industries gains or the weapons industries gains come at the expense of another person's loss. Because the state is constantly overriding human choices, it makes unrelenting error, most often producing consequences opposite of the stated intention.

Let me try to illustrate it a different way. Say instead of dropping bombs in Europe, the army decided to drop kitchen tables into the ocean. They could get the tables either by taking $80 from each American or by coming to your house and taking your table.

Do you seriously believe that having the government take $80 from you will benefit the economy? Doesn't it make more sense that you spending it on something you want would be better? You would now have $80 less and the prices of new tables would increase due to increased demand! And with the second one, would you really feel wealthier if the state came in and took your table?

The war hurt our economy and it hurt all the nations we fought, and then later rebuilt with the Marshal Plan.

To be honest, communism would need EXTREMELY rare circumstances to be good, if at all.

Think about it, EVERYONE doing the same job gets the same pay, no matter how good or bad a job they do.

War creates jobs, and demand for supplies. It boosts an economy in the short-term.

Russian economists from inside the soviet union came out and revealed that the GDP of the entire USSR was less than 2% of the GDP of the USA throughout the cold war.

Communism is a military style society where you take orders from those who were selected to be above you. And if you do not take orders then you are shot. It is not a system anyone of right mind should wish to live under.

Ask any ex-soviet. Hell even ask Kaitnieks, he lives in an ex-soviet country. He will happily attest to how crappy soviet life was.

    Read it before...

Business's always need employees, while people always need insurance. I myself save money when I have it. By putting the money into an alreay developed industries, it creates more jobs, it jumps starts any economy like I said.

Supply and demand is the way the world works, war creates jobs.

What human choices were lost? And what Intention was creating opposite consequences?

People pay taxes as citizens, if you do not want to pay taxes, change your government or move. If you don't like the choices being made by the state, your majority elected them... Your opinion did not matter, because it was useless at the time and nobody else felt the same.

The Table factory would increase in sales. There wouldn't be an increase in in available jobs though. The factory is already stocked with workers...

Nobody table was taken, taxes were taken out of the wages from the jobs provided...

War is a useful tool to create a fast short term boom in an economy. If you doubt how effect it can be, look at what WW2 did for the American Economy.

I don't think you know anything about the U.S.S.R. But all governments work perfectly in theory, ask Sythe.

Perhaps, but it isn't real lasting growth. I mean, how could wasting wealth overseas possibly bring prosperity? After all, wars are generally funded through taxes or inflation, so I can't possibly understand how wasting wealth looted from the private sector could make everybody richer.

Since we our talking about the military - the biggest wealth wasting bureaucracy in our gov - we need to ask where the money is coming from.

Consumers aren't demanding war. And if they were, they are making everybody pay for it.

Hiring people to dig a hole and then hiring some other people to fill that hole also creates jobs, do you suggest that that is a good idea?

How to spend your money would be the blatantly obvious one.
Well I don't accept that. I value freedom, and voluntary interactions.

Well with increased demand for tables wouldn't new factories open up so the government could buy them and then drop them in the ocean? What a great plan for the economy! So many jobs will be created!

The economic growth usually associated with WW2 is more likely b/c after the war regulations were relaxed so businesses finally started investing again after over a decade of not doing so because of the way FDR made them feel like they wouldn't be able to keep their profits.

The communism caused nothing else than trouble. Always been like that, when the leader fails, the gathered countries will go to war with eachother. Take for example ex-jugoslavia.

I never said it was long term growth.

From the citizens, but you submitted to these taxes already... Change your political system or move.

The people you voted for to speak for you are.

Yes, but it wouldn't be as effective as a war.

You elected people to spend your tax money. You submitted to these taxes already... Change your political system or move.

Change your political system or move.

Depends on whether or not the table industry choose to make new factories, BUt the government can't make them open more factories. So it would be risky to do that instead of going to war.

FDR choked big businesses into helping the economy. Some of his acts put into place were consider unconstitutional, are you supporting this?

Also FDR was elected, because Hoover's plans were not aggresive enough for the situation the economy was in. Hoover tried to do voluntary help which failed, the citizens then voted for FDR.

Volunteer work failed... What would you propose would be better?
