[14th May] EliteSwitch v4 is Finally Here!

Yes i know, this is the only way to load worlds now. (i'm thinking of scrapping the old school switching seeing the in game one is pretty much the go).

You will know when there are new releases. Covey is working as hard as possible to get eliteswitch up and running with all utilities ASAP. Please be patient, and continue to check back up on this thread.

Updated thread with some development log information and new screenshots.

Please note that the bug where you log into free worlds as a member and it cuts the RuneScape screen is still NOT fixed.
Also the "Drag Screenshot" and "View/Upload Screenshot" buttons do not work i just forgot to disable them.

Please post and more bugs, ideas & suggestions you may have.

 

um whats the system req or is it the same as swiftkit

 

It's very low at the moment because i don't have that many features.
I'm 90% sure that all systems running Windows NT, 95, XP or Vista will run it. You just need the Visual Basic Runtime files (Most computers have these).

 

I'm not sure if you've already considered a new language, but VB6 is going to die completely real soon.

 

How so, Vista is the only system not supporting VB6 (the language) but you can still easily run vb6 apps on Vista. And Microsoft won't be releasing another PC Suite for a couple of years.

Explain to me how it's going to die real soon?

 

Are you going to keep the same shell/interface as swiftkit?

Seems as if this would cause issues down the road but i would still use eliteswitch as it just has more features and is overall better.So i suppose either way it would be ok.

The lastest version if I do not run as admin, it gives me errors... First time I have ever had to use run as admin...


wait... its no loading as admin any more.... giving me Run time error 5... invalid call or procedure...


wait... it just takes awhile to open after that error box pops up...

 

You have to run it as admin because the program uses the Visual Basic runtime files located in your system32 folder, which in turn needs admin privledges.
I have no idea what the run time error 5 is being causes from.

Please try running EliteSwitch again and tell me if your problem persists.

 

also u can right click on it go to properties and then go to the compatibility tab and then check the box near the bottom where it says "run this program as an administrator" is that dont solve ur problem then i suggest u uuninstall it and reinstall it again(hope i helped
