Is donating worth it?

Hi! I was taking a look at the donator perks and whatnot and of course I’m gonna get a lot of donators say “yeah it’s worth it” but I wanna get some truthful answers. Do you guys think it’s worth donating or just staying non donator? Does donation rank really help your reputation?? Or does it just give people a reason to fall for you to end up scamming in the end because they have your trust because you donated your own money to the site? Let me know some feedback guys! I’d be interested in donating myself if I can get somemore insight on it!

 

You should now, you've been lurking this website for 6 years (according to yourself), so I'd say by now you should be able to answer that question. On the other side though, when you feel the need to question this, I wouldn't be too certain. Perhaps orientate and try your luck in the market first.

 

Yes but just by browsing the forums and seeing what goes on how would that answer my own question? It seems a lot of times what happens is someone joins, donates some money and then scams people because they gain trust from their “donation rank/vouches” which seems a bit strange to me to even waste their own time doing so

 

Whatever others do should hold no relevance to whatever you are doing so long what you're after here is legitimate business. Do you like this forum? Do you think you'll be spending more time on here? Do you wish to support the uptime of this website? All of those questions matter.

 

Yeah, i think the forums are quiet nice. And no it doesn’t have any reflection on myself it’s just an example of the donation meaning anything in reflection on the donator him/herself.

So reading over it I was looking into that DNT rank it speaks about and ended up on the “ban evaders” and TWC from using vpns. What happens if we use our account on different IP’s say i’m at home then decide to go out, and a new IP shows up on my profile is that liable to get me in trouble?

 

It's fine so long as they are not home IP's who tie to other (banned) users. Nothing to worry about when you or any family members have done nothing wrong.

 

Right, A lot of times i go to my moms and use my brothers macbook cause i’m jealous and need to get myself one. How do i check my IP to make sure there’s no matches? I mean like what if someone lived in my house before or something lol obviously pretty slim to none chance of that but still

I think this can be a misconception as donors sometimes are still scammers or ban evaders.

 

Yes but actually no, I mean for me, I would choose someone with donator status over non-donator, catches my eye much easier and feels more trustable.
