Vista: How to get around parentl controls?

we recently got a new computer, and my mom set me to a limited account and kinda just blocked things at random, such as random google seraches, a few sites with nothing bad on them what-so-ever, a lot of the programs such as paint, the movie editor etc. Also, i dont have the privileges to download ANYTHING. Help gettin around these blocks please?

 

It's too secure to do anything while the default security settings are on. Heck, you can't even remove a shortcut or something similar while as an administrator without UAC popping up.

Try guessing the password. If you're mom isn't that into computers, you can try to guess it (e.g. name, birthdate, etc).

LOL naw i think if you go into control panel and create a new acc and tamper w/ stuff or you can figure out the unlimited accounts password.

 

Already tried, i know its like 15-ish characters long, I have no idea what it could be...

No good, when i get to step 4 in that guide it says access is denied

 

Why don't you just ask her to remove it? You're not 8, for God's sake.

Restart the computer completley. Before vista starts loading tap f8. Choose startup in safemode. When it starts create a new admin accoutns for you. Restart normally and there you go.

 

I didnt say it was buggy i said i needed to get around the blocks and parental controls....

Tried this...She thought i was the one that crashed our old computer, which she had also put block on, when infact i was unable to do anything when we got a virus because i didnt have the privileges to run the antivirus and scanners and things, and my mom didnt think anything was wrong....
And yea I'm sorta looking for a technical answer because even if some of the blocks are removed, my mom wont give me full access, which is what i want....

I had the same problem but my friend is a computer wiz sent a virus to my dads email he opened it and it sent the password to my email. =)

I don't consider that.

I suggest getting a job and just buying your own machine.

 

You can run a script that hacks the passwords.
1. Make a bootable flash drive
2. Boot from flash drive (press f8 when computer boots up then select flash drive)
3. Run the script

Im not providing the script because I dont want to be held responbile for your mishaps you may encounter. Im just throwing this option out there if you really needed to get rid of parental controls.
