I've tried this, and it worked pretty well, up untill I run mangosd.exe. It says I don't have the maps, even though I have all the maps in my Mangos folder.

I am looking for help getting the maps. When I run ad.exe it stops at 41%. My WoW is the battlechest version and has been patched to 2.4.2. Does anybody have a way of getting past this 41% problem?? or a different tool that I can extract the maps with?? or a location where I can download the maps?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    You need 2.4.3 not 2.4.2

OK, I installed everything fine and got to the point where I run the server. I run mangosd.exe and the black box flashes for a second and then closes. Same thing with the realmd.exe. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? I have the 2.4.3 installed.

I have a problem about compiling Mangos. I'm running Vista and I suspect I may have a newer version of the C++ compiler. Whenever I go to the VC++ Directiories, these are the lists that appear: Executable files, Include files, Library files.

Since this isn't spoken of the tutorial, I skip adding in the directories. When I go to build, these are the folders that are created, when I was expecting some sort of file named "compile": None of them contain the .exe's and .dll's I was expecting. Are they elsewhere or am I doing something wrong?

I have gone through all the steps and get to the end and my mangosd.exe opens then closes I believe that I have done something wrong. I am confused about where to put everything. You tell us to make a folder called MaNGOS and then tell us that we have a mangos source folder and a mangos core folder. Could you clarify about these folders. Also you have your mangosd.exe in a folder called WoW Server.

All the .exe and .dll etc files are located in MaNGOS/bin/release/ i finally noticed.

Also if you run microsoft visual C++ 9.0 use the mangosdvc90 instead of 80.
