[DENIED] Staff Pardon Voting

So sadly my pardon was denied which is fine, but I wanted what everyone thinks about the current system set in place for voting.. I personally think it should be more than staff voting or some other way that is more fair to make a decision.

I don't think every single staff member with all due respect can make a just decision if their isn't some sort of Protocol set where every staff member has to look into the situation in more depth.

Even at that voting would take forever because so many people so I would understand that argument but any suggestions on this guys?

I'm not sure what you're trying to suggest here. Voting for pardons lasts 1-2 weeks, which allows every staff member with enough time to fully analyze the pardon and give their opinion on the pardon based off of the circumstances within that said pardon. If they don't deem themselves willing to allow you to return at the time, then there's definitely a justified reason behind that.

At the end of the day a pardon is meant to allow a user to fully return to the market without any restrictions (I.E. - a clean slate). Therefore, if staff are uncomfortable allowing someone to return, then they're able to vote no as they please, but I can assure you that we take pardon voting seriously and don't blindly vote without looking into the pardon itself.

 

Through the years changes to the Pardon system have been made and changed. But the Pardon system will always be a staff vote. What are you suggesting is changed? Or what type of protocol are you wanting in place?

 

Plenty of staff members abstain from voting on pardons they are somehow affiliated with. We all also type up a written response to each pardon explaining our reasoning so it's not just clicking "yes" or "no" on a poll.

 

@Superfluous appreciate the information from you and from everyone in this thread. I am just a simple man looking to ask and learn and see what we can do to make something better or improve it.

I like to be innovative and creative but it was just sort of a topic I liked to open but nevertheless I appreciate everyone's response and time here.

There is voting in place for a reason and I Totally understand where you are coming from Super and hopefully I can come back at some point to the community with no restrictions and I won't give up.

This community has been part of my childhood for a long time and I like to be here and now that I am grown after all those years and more mature I have a higher purpose and goal in mind here.


Hopefully with the consideration and support from the community and staff I can have that chance to contribute to this community in a very positive way!
