    Allow OP's to see their own edit history
    Currently, when you've made a thread you can not see your own edit history and revert to it:

    However, when granted the edit invitation (Thread Tools > Manage Edit Invitiations) someone else can see the edit history.

    In my opinion it's a quite useful tool, surely for staff member, but also for the community when they mess up their threads.

    I'm not sure if future XenForo updates add this for all members, but if not, then I simply suggest implementing it for all users.

    Support. I sometimes want to look back and see what I posted or deleted. More a QOL change but if it's something that could be implemented easily, I like :)

    I'm not going to support/ no support this suggestion, as I'm yet to decide, but here's something that should be considered.

    As was stated above, this would be a great QOL update, because sometimes people mess up their thread and this would allow them to revert their thread to a previous version, or just want to view their old posts.

    However, the potential downside is that one could view the entire history of the market threads on a hacked profile to see all the previously used contact details and use this information in the account recovery process, should staff find suspicious activity i.e. posting from a way different geolocation after a years of inactivity and having them go through an account recovery process.

    Valid point but I doubt it's something we should reflect our updates on. After all most hacked profiles are old and I sincerely hope the data breaches we've had in the past remain in the past. If someone is capable of hacking a Sythe account/cracking a database then I assume if they would want to get someone's contact details, they can get those too.

    I've definitely screwed up threads before and had to remake them, sometimes taking more than an hour to complete. Support, this would be epic.

    Good point, but I agree with Wortel that we should focus on the upsides for legitimate users instead of the downsides for a relatively small number of misusers. Couldn't we just adapt what we request in terms of account recovery info as well? Or just revoke this privilege if it becomes a recurring issue?

    I don't think the security aspect would be a big concern at all, if the contact info was in the edit history then the info was already public and available for anyone to see/discover and possibly even archived or cached.

    I see no downsides to this and would be a very nice update to Sythe. Support


    Edit: Just to add on, if the account is hijacked then an alternate account could be given edit permissions to view the history meaning that would already be an issue.

    This is already in effect, you simply need to give permissions to yourself via thread tools and you are able to edit/revert to previous revisions.
