Did not read the comments but I do agree that Discord is being moderated a bit too harshly, or atleast it's incorrectly being considered as "Spam Forum" when truly the rules are quite different. I agree with the suggestion that a light should be shined upon more properly on what is and what is not allowed, but considering there's literally an image for everything, every image is a different test for staff to consider what is and what is not allowed.

I for sure think the interpretation of NSFW rules are way off, since cats cuddling is by now way NSFW - neither would it be to have one weird anime emoji dancing (for which I was warned not use). I've joked about doxing users (e.g. "leaking your ip now") which I thought was very stupid at first, but ofcourse when spoken by a drunk carrot or by a random new user are 2 different things - and how can you allow one user to do stuff, another may not?

I would however be in great favor of staff users toning down on disconnecting users from voice, moving them randomly, or anything of those sorts - but that's another discussion I guess.

I think the NSFW channel let some people vent without it flooding the main channel daily.

I agree. I feel like the newest mods, ESPECIALLY @ABM takes every opportunity given (even unjust ones) to kick users for the dumbest things. I hate using the word «power abuse» and I always give staff the benefit of the doubt. But I think a 1 on 1 chat with the upper staff is due. He kicked @Talon for posting a gif of two cats cuddling (NOT KISSING)!!. I don’t believe Talon did it to provoke either, as he has been posting cat gifs for years lol.

I've unpinned the message about no kissing images being allowed, that message has been misinterpreted and had unintended consequences. I will say though that since we do have an nsfw channel, and nsfw can mean things other than outright nudity, images that are gratuitous do belong there, not in the general chat. There's kissing, and then there's people licking eachother's faces. Please exercise some judgment. For the record, our rule "change" was in response to many users' complaints, not because of a change in staff
