    Anxiety

Anxiety has been a huge factor in my life, post college.

Anyone else here deal with anxiety daily or sometimes throughout their life?

I'm happy I don't deal with anxiety often, but when big changes happen I have anxiety that shuts me down. Rooted in my stomach, it's the worst time in my ever life and during those times I feel so lost.

Anyone else dealt with anxiety whether it be daily or at certain times in your life?

For some reason the world has such a negative connotation for things like this, so I figured it's relevant in my life, so why not discuss here!

    Thanks for sharing that man!
I'm super sorry about that. Is it triggered by something or have you dealt with it pretty regularly throughout those years?

My GF has had it since she was very young as well, and every day moving forward. It's helped me understand my own anxiety as well.

I wish you best of luck in the future man, and I hope things improve for you!

    Anxiety

    Daily man,

i get anxious sometimes for like 1-3 weeks, and then not for like a week or so, and then it comes back again.

What really helps me tho is eating healthy, and not drinking coffee.

Alot of caffeine gets me really anxious.

Also i like to sleep atleast 8 hours, if i dont get my sleep i get anxious aswell.

Just try to go outside as often as you can, and hang out with friends and family.

and oh yeah, working out helps alot.

    but remember,

What doesnt kill you makes you stronger ;)

I've been dealing with it for the past 7 years of my life, it's a roller-coaster to say the least.

    Anxiety

My first ever anxienty (or panic they both seem similar although one happens often for longer periods of time) was when i was in the military doing a tour to iraq. (I prefer not going into detail here) i know its not PTSD simply because i don't have flashbacks and nothing triggers the bad memories. It's just random times now when i get attacks. There are helpful tricks to help you control them other than taking benzos. Ill list some examples below :)
    1. Breathing exercises try not breathing with your chest but with your stomache.
    2. Eating helping and getting enough sleep helps people with extreme anxiety.
    3. Exercise is a helpful way to prevent attacks from happening. A healthier lifestyle all together goes a long way.
    4. If you're having an attack one thing that helps me alot is to remember my senses. Look for 3 things around the room and talk to yourself about those 3 things, touch three things and explain how they feel. Smell 3 things, if in the kitchen taste 3 things and listen to 3 things.
    5. One thing i strongly recommend is to never try feeling your heartbeat. Only two things will happen. (1)you won't feel it and panic more thinking your dying or (2) you feel its beating too fast like youre having a heart attack. During an attack your heart rate will rise but most cases this shouldn't be a concern

    Anxiety

I started having terrible anxiety/being a hypochondriac about 6 years ago when I was told I had an irregular heartbeat.

It's like a huge weight that just comes over me in the most random times, mainly that'll make my heart speed up and then my body will start worrying about the fact my heart is speeding up, then it'll start getting worse and worse until I just eventually freak out.

I feel like it's "looked down on" to claim to have anxiety for the simple fact of how many people claim they have anxiety or other issues just to get prescribed xanax or whatever, and they actually don't have it.

But I understand this 110%, I wouldn't wish true anxiety on my worst enemy, it's such a horrible, almost indescribable feeling when a real panic attack comes on.

I wish you the best of luck.

    Anxiety

For me it's daily it's honestly just become a part of my life and I have to learn to deal with it day by day and moment by moment. The thing about it is you don't know how it's going to act from one day to another. It's being able to have the correct mentality about it and not letting it control you.

    Anxiety

Anxiety is the dizziness of independence.

Literally everyone deals with anxiety, its a natural thing. I have learned that the scared feeling I get is actually a great indicator that I'm doing something good/meaningful and use it to push myself forwards.

Just know your limits. Sometimes it does get too much and will incapacitate you to the point it won't be worthwhile. Learn to get comfortable in uncomfortable situations. The only way to do this is to venture outside of that little comfort circle around you. Small steps add up, never forget that.

I did have the similar situation because I was worried a lot about me ex-gf. I doubted in her loyalty and it seemed like she had a lover. I was totally broken until decided to know for sure. I used to work with private investigator. It helped a lot when I figured out it was true after all.

I went through anxiety and severe depression at a specific time in my life but having said that I still get anxiety sometimes it's just about controlling it and knowing you have the power to control it.

Same with driving, you are the one steering the wheel so you need to steer the wheel of life if you know what I mean but therapy has helped me and creating a healthy and safe environment for yourself goes along way.

Hope everything is looking up for you! I deal with it on a daily basis but I’m healing and my body knows it.
