Lol, a person believed that his life in Sythe can be a promising life, but look what a 1 mistake can make? Ehh, that kind of lessons should be learned in early age, like 4-7 years old.. When you give a candy to your so called "friend" and when he has a candy - he doesn't give you one. That is when you have to learn that lesson. I guess you weren't that smart to learn it. Good luck in real life, it's quite promising too.
You coulda predicted that this could happen (someone would ask you for some shitty stuff through PM, MSN) and mentally prepare for all attacks of that kind. What you did here really is scammed Sythe and yourself at the same time

Btw, to be a Mod in Sythe, from my seeing point - you have to have a cold heart and be someone that has it's honor over all other things. Of course, you can have some fun, but you have to be an authority to other members of Sythe too. It's quite complicated tbh and not everyone can handle it.

:'( This is a sad day. Sythe just lost its best (and my favorite) guide writer (with the exception of unb4nn3d, who is equal in skill) over something easily avoided. Even though I knew you for only a few weeks, your writing (as well as unb4nn3d's) opened my eyes to the fun of writing in the UE section, and also helped show the rest of the community how guides should be written. You will be missed my friend.

EDIT: Although I do acknowledge what you did was a severe breach of trust, I still wish you luck in the future.

 

My rant was not a matter of me being scammed when I was 11, it was a rant about trust. Matt trusted his friend, his friend betrayed him. Saying this, if one person is to scam, it ruins it for EVERYONE, back when there was no trade limit, player 1 buys a red mask, he lends it to his friend, player 2, player 2 runs off with it, later on down the road player 2 lends it out, to player 3, who scams it. It's a vicious circle, and Sythe is in a tailspin from it. Nobody can be trusted anymore. This doesn't just affect this community, but also in communities around the world. If you can't simply trust a person online, who would like to (evidently) share their work with you, by trading accounts, selling GP, whatever. If you can't trust their word, how and why, would you want to make an effort to make friends on this website? It's the same in reality, you wouldn't trust a newly made friend with an iPod, atleast, I wouldn't, they might be making an effort to befriend you for that possession, in order to (example) go sell it and buy drugs. You don't know, and because the asshole at the beginning of this vicious cycle scammed his friend, or conned him, nobody can trust anybody. This, I find it unfair to the rest of us, Sythe, RuneScape, WoW, and enevitably (sp?), the world.

 

look what he did was wrong and I can understand why he was banned, he made a mistake and how do you know he wouldn't do it again? He was a good guy abd just made a mistake but please don't whine about him being banned

Well said, I agree with your course of action, I am just disappointed that it happened to Matthew. The greater they are the harder they fall I guess.

 

Even though he is my friend, my decision on his ban shall still stand.
-He did something wrong, and I see that you've made the right decision Sythe.

I just hope that this won't affect him much in his Social Life, and that he'll be able to recover accordingly.

Everyone can evidently see this, and I'm sure it's not going to shake Sythe's Community that much, for he wasn't a Mod for that long.

He shouldn't of leaked information even to a "friend", if the friend wasn't a staff, he probably shouldn't be seeing the information. Trusting or not it's still being shady and breaking a severe boundary.

Wow... it's a website, unless it's a govt site their can't be anything too important. I know he made a mistake, but he's still a great guy, hopefully I'll get his msn. I know we have pretty much the same side of all arguments... You'll be missed man, I can't believe all the mods are making that big of a deal out of it... I've agreed with every decision of their's so far... oh well, it's your site Sythe, hope you're happy banning one of the nicest people on your forum.
