Talks of Jagex getting tougher on Gold Buyers

So i'm a semi-casual player, i like to buy gold here it suits my play style.

It's more efficient. The prices are reasonable.

Gold buying has always been super safe. However i've been hearing that Jagex is looking to get tougher on gold buying. Is this true, anyone have more information?

I would probably look to stop playing if that were the case.

They will always crack down here and there.

The situation with Bogla & Arcus was perfect for them as it hit too very successful sites at the same time. Both ran by the same entity (after Arcus bought out Bogla).

As for smaller and more casual sellers, I believe they won't do much except ban in-game accounts if they can find a link.

Well speaking from experience.. I’ve gotten banned for trading my own account but not other accounts for RWT.

I’m pretty sure it’d random. Jagex is a scam. Trade and buy gold at your own risk.

 

Just stay away from chinese

How to tell who's Chinese? I usually buy frrom chicksgold, Yeti and from 07RS3. I think they're all european or Australian.

 

I think it's best to leave the market while you're ahead. Don't get caught up in legal action like Bogla and Arcus did. Personally, I have zero interest in the market and with lawsuits and stuff going on, even more so.

 

I'm a buyer not a seller haha. So less legal action for me.

 

Usually you can tell via live chat or discord conversations. If they’re not speaking properly it’s not worth the risk right off the bat.

As you mentioned @Chicks and other big names are better as they run a legit business with proper assistants.

 

Please someone update this thread if you notice any buyers being banned thank you.

 

6 of my mules got banned in last 3 days, all of which used 3 mobile I had 3 boxes on 2 laptops (wireless boxes - no direct phone line) also using a VPN and a virtual computer so no way to link them to my main IP none of my personal use accounts where banned,
One mule had 1.2b on the rest under 100M.
Funnily enough 3 of them had never RWT and only used for swapping GP, they where all banned for "Manual perm ban - Jmod comment - evidence of black market activities" never had any sort of ban like this in 7 years of blackmarket activities.. So maybe jagex are cracking down on everyone.

 

Wow thanks for the info. What were the dates of these bands were they 2020 bans? Oh right they are. Did they conduct any trades post 2020?

Thats why i never reach the 200m on my mule account, even if got 100m i just sell them all, is better lose a few cents due the low amount of gp than lose everything as a result of a ban.

I feel like it really just depends on the amount you buy, and where from. I personally have always used one site and I’ve never been banned to this day for RWT. *knocks on wood*

 

Well it would also appear that you are banned on more than one site now lmao.

 

RWT results in permanent ban. Technically, I don’t see it getting ”harsher” than that for the multitudes.

Their main target is clear. They state twice whom they're cracking down on.
(bot developers, gold sellers and hijackers)

They prefer to stop the source of the cheating rather than the cheating.

 

Im pretty sure they are changing this now by making it so that buying will get you banned as well.

Jagex has gone very chill until now against buyers, but that is gonna change soon.
