Are bootleg designer items permitted to be sold here?

Pretty sure, but take my answer with a grain of salt.

There is an ex-mod or current mod who sells cheap knock offs of expensive brands, so I assume this is what you mean.

No, not a cheap knockoff, a bootleg. These are items collected from the actual factories located in China for the designer brands. Either they have a slight (in most cases completely unnoticeable) defect, were taking from overstock, or replicated by the same factory. My plug is AAA quality, indistinguishable from store-bought except the absence of serial numbers in most cases

No no apologies, that came off know-it-all but I just wanted to make the distinction in case what I’m looking to do IS disallowed, explanation below:
a knockoff is made by reverse engineering the product and then manufacturing it in your own plant. This can use the same materials, or could be lesser materials, but a lot of designer brands have proprietary machinery for specific stitching, dye cutting, and other fabrications. You will barely ever find knock offs to be of comparable quality.

bootleg, however, comes from a variety of means, whether they’re sold from overstock to China, defective on the line and discarded, or “lost” from the factory. In essence, if the “AAA” quality label is verified (as some Chinese plugs will try to scam you with knock off instead of bootleg) it’s usually authentic merchandise minus the factory or retail certification. And herein lies my pause to posting my service: I can’t guarantee all merchandise was supplied to my plug legally since it could have been authentic stuff if properly shipped to a US retailer, as it is not just a knock off.

EDIT: the technical word is replica, not bootleg as on the whole, the plug’s gain is legal

    Gotcha - thanks!

If you're selling goods that are legal to the best of your knowledge, I feel like that should suffice unless you, or any others, find out otherwise. As a parallel, if I buy an account and am told the original owner is Moh, then I can resell it - as long as I advertise it as such - whether or not you're actually the original owner. Like you can't be held accountable for a supplier's claims unless you can verify that they are, in fact, lies.

Lmao essentially, but my SO is selling and asked me to be ambassador so I figured I’d see what sythe user interest is like. Looks like Astro has a corner in that market, but still worth a try
