Good computer that fails?

My computer is acting really slow latly. I dont know why. I did a Virus search (Avg free) and didint find any except 12 cookies... (Full comp search) I can barley run 2 bots on at same time(RsBot) and i check "use low cpu"

I use windows vista x64 But use classic.


Anybody got any ideas? Im pretty sure i got good enough computer to atleast have a bot open and play fallout 3..

 

Hmm, look for task manager, and close all browsers and windows, and see how much pc usage is used when idling. Look at processes and see what's hogging your system.

 

I didint notice any weird. i took screenie:

 

Open a firefox or even a game, then take a screenie of that, and see if there is a difference.

If java is taking that much cpu all the time, then yes. Is javaw.exe always on?

Also, is it slow loading your getting? If it is slow loading you may have a slow hard drive with low RPM.

 

Hmm. That might be it. So i gotta get a faster Hard Drive? Might aswell get a bigger one then.

And Javaw.exe is not always on only when botting.

 

Try doing a defragment of your Hard drive, it helps alot if it says you need one.

Defragment your harddrive, if that doesn't work manually open up your computer and use some compressed air to dust off everything. Often this helps a lot.

Otherwise, try using another scanning program. (And yes by the way, Java uses a huge amount of CPU on my computer all the time.)

Yeah. Like you said, harddrive definitely is a thing to check. You've already checked your task manager, I don't see anything in HiJack This. My computer also runs a LOT slower than it should..my harddrive is old, so I'm buying a new one.

Make sure if you get a new one that the RPM is pretty high if you want fast speeds.

IMO, you should downgrade to XP as well. Vista is shit, and slow as shit.

them specs should be fine on vista, But yeah its most probably the fact that your hard drive has just got so clogged up since your last reformatted (if ever!) and it really does slow computers down after time.

I usually reformat every few months as its just easy way to speed up your pc.

The only other reason it could be slow is if you have missing drivers, But thats very doubtful.

 

That HD should be good.

Well, if you're getting one with 72,000 RPM, then get a blast shield, that'd break the hard drive's disk in a bunch of peices of high-tech computing technology! My HD spins slower than that, and I egt about 5 bots with 2 GB of RAM and Vista.
