Thread moderation on General Discussion

Hey, I'm coming back after a large hiatus from the internet, and I noticed I can't post threads directly to General Discussion-- it enters into an "Awaiting Moderation" state. Is this the modding practice for Off Topic now, or are my permissions skewed? If it is the practice, what's the wait time to have a thread approved?

 

Usually there's no generic wait time for threads to be approved, it's just whenever a staff member gets around to approving them. Can be a couple minutes, but sometimes a couple hours too. I do not know if your permissions are skewed, but I doubt anyone messed with it.

 

Slackers! I've had mine waiting for two days. Anyway thanks, hopefully their extra measures are helping whatever issue it addressed
