[DENIED] Giving Sythe Gold Purpose

I mentioned this on another thread "using Sythe gold as a donation method"
I said that maybe Sythe gold could be used to bump threads as it currently has no purpose.

Why would this benefit Sythe? it gives people incentive to donate more to Sythe.
Active sellers would be able to post more bumps and keep their thread on the first page while in their time zone, I would limit the bumps to 1-3 times a day using sythe gold to stop any over bumping.

That's pretty much it pretty short and simple.

 

It was previously used to bump threads via the pre-existing 'bump' button.

Said button was removed due to technical issues, which allowed users to circumvent the bump timers, irrespective of whether Sythe Gold was used or not.

It was resolved to remove the button in its entirety.

Perhaps @Sythe or @Matthew can provide an update as to whether the button will return or not.

 

Maybe sythe gold can be used to purchase fun ranks, like 100,000 sg for 1 sexy looking fun-rank.
At that market rate, that fun rank would be worth atleast ~ $500

The timer is only 2 hours. Would be a waste.

 

I'm sure its every 8 hours you are allowed to bump your thread.

 

It would be a payed for rank just like donating, rather than an obtaining the rank like the rest of the mini ranks and for that reason I don't think it would work out.

No support, you can already bump your threads alot faster lately so adding this makes it even worse. Though I hope that someday in my life I will see some proper functionalities used for Sythe Gold yes.

 

The early bump system for sythe gold was rarely used, and since we've changed the bump system recently we won't be reimplementing that. There may still be future updates and uses added to sythe gold but at this time we have no plans to add anything
