I agree completely, and I think a members ability to know who to contact shouldn't impact the speed at which their name is cleared which is why I proposed this.

I did that weeks ago in addition to contacting 3 staff. It also seems like a bit of a cop out because to my knowledge no where on the forum is that even mentioned , and it certainly isn't told to the falsely accused people until they start bringing it up as I've been accused twice.

It didn't help plus none of of the 3 staff I messaged ever even bothered responding.

Not to mention I don't think anyone would say that method makes sense.

    -A person is falsely accused.

-Moderators have to interact with the thread to mark them dnt, TWC or ban them

    - They decide its a false accusation so no action is taken against the member.

-They vanish and now the member has to report the thread, which moderators already had to review ....to get it edited?

The way threads are edited to clear the falsely accused isn't a good system.

A much easier system would be a scam report either ends in

    The person being DNT
    The person being TWC
    The person being banned
Or the person's name being removed from since it was false.

It would take an extra 20 seconds to add the final step. Mods would get significantly less messages from people asking for edits and they wouldn't have to go back to clean stuff up.

    I don't see any negatives

Mods should be doing this automatically anyway but mistakes happen. If we miss something just report it and we will mark it resolved, this is the current system
