[APPROVED]Stolen content sold in Guide & Ebook section

Hi, why stolen content from Poker Training sites such as UpswingPoker, RunitOnce and similar is allowed to be sold in this section? This is illegal since those brands are losing money, sellers have no permission to do that and this could bring additional problems to Richard. Most sellers who do this are only prividing their Discord ids so they wouldn't be tracked down and sued.

Sort it out.

 

How do you know it's stolen and how is this any different from lets say runescape related market?

They are free to make a scam report if they feel like their guides have been stolen. There is nothing else that can be done here

 

Last time I checked, this is for suggestions @WeRnIS , make a scam report if you feel someone is wrong.

 

Virtual, that paid content is not supposed to be copied/recorded and shared anywhere. Those sellers are stealing money from them. This is the same as recording during a movie in a cinema and then selling that recording.

Tiger, I do not represent those brands therefore I can't make a scam report. But from what I have seen, some moderators are not keen to do anything about it.

 

I know what you mean. But RuneScape RWT is in the same vein as this. With gold sales taking money from Jagexs bond revenue?

RuneScape botting guides sap their revenue because it increases the number of bots and decreases the number of real players?

Well because it's a gray area, and same argument could be applied in almost every market if we use these excuses.

 

I'd just report the threads if they're offering stolen content. If I were to buy one person's "secret moneymaking method" and resell it on Sythe, I'd be banned, so I don't see why this is any different.

 

We ban people for selling cracked AKA stolen accounts, this should be no different. But the burden of proof is on you to prove the content is stolen unless it's blatantly obvious.

 

If they say that it is for example RunItonce, Upswing poker, RaiseYourEdge (RYE), Poker Masterclass content, that means that it is stolen. They wouldn't sell free content, the content they are selling is not accessible to public.

If those websites would know what is going on here, they would try to sue these guys (or Richard if he would not cooperate) since they make a lot of money from their poker training content and are losing a big profit share because of people like these. All poker-related forums/websites immediately ban such content thieves.

There has been a report already in RAS about this.

 

Legal or not, we don't allow the sale of guides unless the seller has permission from the guide creator to do so (surprisingly none of these people had permission!) All the threads have been removed
