I just made this account yesterday. And being stupid i used my real name instead of a username. And being i can’t create a new account i would like a name change. Honestly i don’t even care if i get the one i want or not. It would be cool, i just don’t want my legal name everrrrrrywhere.

As of January 10, 2016, minor & major name changes are honored as described below.

Note: All users who request a name change will be given a User Title to reflect back to their previous name for six months unless only a capitalization or de-capitalization occurs. Requesting UT changes before the expired time will result in an infraction for wasting Admin time required to process these UT requests.

Those eligible for a minor name change request are those who:

Have donated a minimum of $5.

Have a join date which dates to at least a year prior to their name change request.

Have not previously changed their name via the minor name change system.

Note:

Users with DNTs and TWCs are still eligible for minor changes, but the changes are heavily scrutinized and may be denied.

Have a join date which dates to at least a year prior to their name change request (OR are a $300 donor, which are eligible for a name change after 6 months).

Have 2FA enabled at the time of their request and pass an IP check (To enable 2FA visit https://www.sythe.org/account/two-step and for a guide see: here).

Have not previously changed their name via the major name change system.

Must have not been banned or had a DNT for more than 2 weeks nor received a pardon within the last 3 months. Cannot have a TWC at time of request either.

A second major name change can be approved if you have had your name for at least a year and you are a $500 donor.

NOTE: One character name requests are not honored and in rare cases we can deny a request without reasoning.

Username change requests we currently honor:

Please bear in mind your desired name must be available/not taken, or it belongs to a user who has been inactive for at least 3 years - inactivity is different for long-standing accounts or those who have a tendency to return every few years.

Removal of numbers in a name (Example: Name1224 to Name)

Replacement of a number in a name (Example: N4m3 to Name)

Removal of characters such as underscores or hyphens (Example: User_Name to User Name or UserName)

Capitalization or de-capitalization of a name (Example: name to Name or Name to name)

Removal of special characters in rare cases where the user profile glitches

Removal of random letters that do not add to a username (Example: UserNameAsdf to UserName, NOT UserNameGaming to UserName)

Process of requesting a name change:

Fill out a Name Change Request Form.

An Administrator will review your request:

If you fall under honorable name change request number 1, 2, 3 or 4, your request will usually be honored.

If you fall under honorable name change request number 5, 6, 7, or 8, your request will be reviewed more in-depth.

If your name is changed, your User Title will be edited to reflect your previous name for 6 months unless only a capitalization or de-capitalization occurs.

All name changes will be listed in the List of Username Changes thread unless only a capitalization or de-capitalization occurs.

If your name is not changed, you will be notified as to why and given another opportunity to apply depending on the reasoning.

A note on banned names: As of 3/26/2019, we are allowing name changes to names belonging to banned users. In order to qualify for such a name change, you must pay for all scams associated to that user on any accounts they may have had on sythe. This does not guarantee we will approve the name change though as we reserve the right to deny a name change to a banned user's name for any reason

A note on approved name changes: As of 7/6/2019, A placeholder account will be created to hold a users previous name for 6 months. This will be noted in the placeholder account's user title. After 6 months, the username will be eligible for future name changes through this thread.

I understand that, and i plan on getting the 5$ donation next week when i get paid. But you have to understand why i wouldn’t want my legal name spread all across the site ‍♂️
