Yes, people should be trading on sythe discord, and most of these advertisers are toxic to the site anyway

 

I disagree on this for discord servers, but I would completely agree on this for sites like Eldorado (fun fact: they have gold buying/selling threads too)

 

This is a different topic but i agree on eldorado part, they shouldn't be allowed to have gold threads when they aren't actually buying/selling gold themselves, this is basically the same as PA would start posting topics in every section which is retarded. They shouldn't be allowed to post anywhere except maybe middleman section cuz that's what they're doing

 

I abstain to comment on discord markets. I'm not too in tune with it despite founding and owning a small market on discord myself.

As for Eldaro, surely they are doing what a lot of the goldsites do now anyway? They "middleman" the gold from player to player.

I know lots of sites don't actually stock gold unless they have to, and they usually just have a huge list of suppliers they contact at a moments notice to trade their buyers directly.

Isn't Eldaro doing exactly this just on a broader scale for more than one game? Aka. just like okaygoods? If so, then I don't see the issue.

 

This is a slippery slope, do we want to ban goldselling websites because people will go there for seevices instead of on sythe peer 2 peer?

not stocking gold is not a problem, u can't just go to their livechat and buy/sell gold it's literally playerauctions v2

 

This kind of thinking is why this site is so corrupt nowadays, anyone who pays big money for advertising can do whatever they want these days, not realizing that they're just paying few $ extra than previous bidder and they aren't contributing as much as everyone thinks. And i don't see any way they are better than them

The only problem i'm seeing with them is having a gold topic when not actually selling/buying gold themselves same as sites like playauctions which i assume are not allowed already

 

At the rate this is going I'm just worried trading discords will eventually steer huge amounts of traffic away from sythe.

As others have already mentioned, a official sythe discord would be the way to go imo. If you cant beat em, join em. Steer the large majority of sythe's traffic to an official discord as a add-on/replacement.

You can only achieve so much with banning adverts. And the way things are going now, its almost the same as how Nokia died for refusing to jump on the smartphone trend early enough. If Sythe miss this discord trend, we might see more decrease in Sythe's relevance.

And yes please ban the damn shitposters spamming their adverts in the trading section. Super cancerous imo
