[APPROVED] Removing Solicitations In Do Not Trade Members' Descriptions

Without naming names, members with Do Not Trade badges should not be allowed to have solicitations within their descriptions. For instance,

    John Doe
Order Now at www.example.com for LOW Rates on 07, RS3, and RSPS Gold!

    Should be reverted to:

    John Doe
We strongly urge you not to trade with John Doe.

Something to that extent, reason being, people may be oblivious to their current trading status because they're absorbed or otherwise attuned to the Sythe Discord. Either way, I don't mean to badger the DNT group, I'm simply suggesting this for enhanced member safety.

Finally, this suggestion has arose. I've said it before alongside countless users. Why the hell are DNT'd users allowed to advertise their services if advertising said services are ILLEGAL ON SYTHE?

You wanna trade so badly, go resolve your DNT.

Full support. Not to mention loads of newcomers can get tricked.

People will always try bypass it after they have scammed, and scammed because they are complete scum bags.

I believe harsher punishments, and support.

This has always confused me why this wasnt a thing, it would require extra moderation support at a guess though.
support though as im sure restrictions could be set to not allow signatures and things to dnt accounts

Both, otherwise their descriptions at the very least-Again, I mean this is the least condescending tone as possible. I know myself well enough to know with how prevalent Discord is, it’s very easy to overlook a DNT, it should be as apparent as physically possible for two reasons-to have it resolved/disputed as soon as possible, and to ensure members are adequately forewarned. I’m sorry but if you’re questionable then you’ll have to be held accountable to a more severe extent.

As for extra moderation, I agree, we all should thank our staff at Sythe-seriously, if this suggestion goes through. It’s for our safety specifically, but it’s a small implementation that may ultimately improve one’s time spent here and effectively reduce anti-scam requests, bans, etc. it may overall save time, who’s to say, that’s merely my assumption.

Lastly, thank you to everybody being supportive of this suggestion!

I feel a DNT'd user should not be entitled to either. Want to trade? Get rid of the DNT.

Granted, a very, very small number (literally in single digits) of users may have self requested but again, if you requested a DNT you obviously aren't looking to trade and many newbs would get confused or even tricked into thinking the DNT was self-requested because of the user's signature and user title

There has been a discussion with staff about having the DNT usergroup's signature disabled, but there wasn't an easy way to do that, it would have to be custom coded. Something like this is very low priority if it even was on the to do list. If you see a DNT user with a signature or user title that could potentially lead to scams, feel free to report the user's profile and a moderator and remove the advertisement if they feel its warranted.

For the sake of utilization staff time effectively please to not go hunting for DNT user's accounts to report en masse, that is all we ask :p

Why not just disable the ability for them to post on the market section or view it?

If im not wrong, the DNT rank already constitutes a market ban which means they cant access market threads(unless i understood it wrong)

Somehow, from time to time i see people reporting players with the already DNT status for scams, unless im missing something here how would these people view who to scam ? ' usually the newcomers attempting to do their first trades '

We tried to make this an automated thing but it wasn't possible. However we do think DNT users shouldn't be advertising in their UT or signature so starting today, this is not allowed and will result in a 1-week ban (we will giving a grace period to current offenders while we apply this)
