I'm honestly blown away by the level of bullshit.

2148 pages of positive vouches, is sythe really run by vouch bots now?


I have such a hard time believing that anybody would genuinely be satisfied after purchasing from these guys, never the less 2148 pages of only positive vouches.

Not a single negative comment, holy shit. I've never felt so scammed on Sythe by a seemingly reputable service.

I've been a member of HF and Sythe since before 2010.
Mostly a casual that occasionally purchases gold on here, when I decide to play RS for a few weeks every year.


I've never had an experience that left me feeling this unsatisfied, jesus. I have such a hard time believing that people are OK with this?

Might as well ask me for my birth certificate and my mums maiden name.

This is genuinely not OK, also falsely advertising payment options on your site.
Then being told by your support "we do not offer that option."

Honestly, genuinely baffled by my experience.


Was offered no other form of verification, I was simply told to either do it or ask for a refund which would take 4-11 business days.

People shouldn't be able to place an order, before its disclosed for them that its required to show ID/verification.

 

It does seem shady that you only find out afterwards of the verification, not before.

Miss i’ve bought huge amounts of osrs gp in my past, i’ve never charged back once on any of it i just want my gold and that’s it. But some of these websites don’t even tell you that you have to hand your life over to them before you get gold for a game. At least a heads up “we may require sensitive information before we deliver the gold with this payment option” or something

TBH I've heard a few negative things regarding Bogla/Arcus as of late. Prior to I have always though of them as the most legitimate and professional organizations on Sythe / RWT Scene in general. Although however more and more stories such as this have been popping up on Sythe or in discords I am associated with. Yesterday a friend of mine purchased Gold from Arcus and was unable to pick the gold up. After 3 hours he went into the live chat and apologized + asked them if he could pick up his gold and they told him that they were no longer offering the rate that he was once quoted and sent the btc for. Arcus then forced him to accept a refund via btc and proceeded to short him $3 :/ It seems like large websites are starting to have poor customer service skills as they know their reputation will allow them to get away with such things .

 

Their business, Arcus gold, which now also runs the previously reputable Bogla gold, is a longtime offender of false advertising, partnering with scammers, and stonewall customer support service. My last experience with them was a waste of my time and I got what I needed for a much lower price with their competitor.

 

i came on your website yesterday, bought 1.7b OSRS for .61 / M BTC . the agent told me that i could collect this gold from ANY of the agents on. which made me ASSUME this stock was going to be able to be collected in relevent time.
keep in mind ive been on this site ALL day trying to buy gold off them, the btc confirms were taking forever to clear due to how busy blockchain was.
long story short, around 2am the confirm cleared, i came back on the livechat (keep in mind this probably wasnt even a hour after their shift) and i was greeted by moises, (the person i bough the gold off of was aine). im then told that my ' payment took to long to process ' which is a CLEAR lie as the other agent was READY to deliver my gold.
i then asked if since her shift is about to end becasue i myself will be ready in about 20 minutes if i can just collect off the next agent, and she assured me whoever is on next will HAVE my gold. anyways. i ended up having to get reimbursed for my btc. but heres the worse part, your agent attempted to SHORTCHANGE me of 7$ btc... After calling him out, he sent me $10 more. thinking this is going to makeup for the 5 HOURS OF MY TIME that was wasted
estimated loss: over 70$ due to btc rising/dropping + factor in the profit i was suppose to make off selling this 1.7B OSRS
i have been a buyer/seller here for years, and honestly if this doesnt fairly get resolved. i will never be dealing with you guys again, theirs no way you can tell me any agents will be ready to deliver my gold, and not tell me before hand that if i dont pick up the gold asap it will no longer be there, utterly and extremely unprofessional.

BTC also dropped from 5142, to 5042. So bogla ended up causing over 70$ to be loss

Never really thought websites are refunding people due to changed gold rates lol. They don't change by more than few cents within 24h and websites' profit margins are a lot higher.

Also, are you sure you bought 1.7b @ 0.61? That's extremely low rate, I don't believe they would sell it that low. Maybe they understood they sold it at too low rate and just changed their mind lol?

 

Since that's a completly copy paste of what you have sent to our support email, I'll be copy pasting here our reply:


For Bitcoin refunds we refund the exact btc sent, which Moises did not but rectified it in the end. We do not send the $ value received because this could be abused and we'd be on the losing side either way. Let's say bitcoin crashes after a customer sent a payment, the customer notices and asks for a refund before picking up the gold and we'd tank the loss if we paid by the $ value. If it goes up and they need a refund then they'd say we're stealing from them and profited off their bitcoin.

Now for the transaction. So it seems you resell the gold, which is fine and this would mean you know how the market and bans work better than the average customer. Yes, we said someone else could deliver it but you're being very deceiving in this email because you conveniently forgot to mention at 11:49pm est you said that you would need around 20mins as well to collect. You also said that the btc network was being busy so it took forever to confirm, yet it confirmed 15 minutes only after you sent the payment with priority fees. At 12:01AM later Anie gave you a location to go to and you told her you would take 10 more minutes. Then at 12:53AM you told her again that you're about to be ready. You kept Anie waiting for over an hour after her shift was over by the way. At 1:28AM she added Moises and you left. If you disconnected, you leave the chat a few minutes later, but it's usually nothing more than 5minutes which means you were still in the chat at least 20 minutes since you said you were about to be ready. You then come back over 1 hour later claiming you lost internet making no attempts to rejoin and give us a heads up with a phone using mobile data.

So you expect us to hold a very good deal we offered you for almost 3 hours when the ETA you said was 10 minutes after Anie was ready and the payment confirmed. As a gold seller you'll know that you were entering Jagex hours and there was simply no way we could hold that much gold at a special price hoping for you to come back. My guess is you didn't have a buyer lined up and looked for one and found one once we ran out and stopped supplying the market.

 

And just to clarify for anyone wondering because what he is saying is not true. He made a bitcoin payment and that was confirmed 12 minutes later. We told him where to pick it up 5 minutes later. He said he'd take 10mins and came back almost 3 hours later.

 

Asking for id and other information that could help fight chargebacks is quite normal in my opinion; although, I have heard and seen a lot of unacceptable things from Arcus as of late.
