Very disappointed on the people staff has been letting pardon and then denies actually trust worthy users a pardon.

Should definitely take another look at @go4maxed pardon. He has repaid $1800 + , which is extremely rare for a user to do and yet you let $8.40 or $300 scammers back on the site just for them to scam quit more. The simple solution is to just give him a Dicing ban for however long, and let the active user come back. Makes no sense when you let the bad ones in and leave the dedicated ones out of the site.

 

Been away for a while but check the RAS section for fun almost daily. The same people have been busting their asses dealing with scammers since I first became active last year. You guys are the true mvps making sythe great again

I think we can all agree that it has been a while since we've seen RAS being in such shape. Generally, people will tend to focus on the negative aspects and won't miss the chance to bash any of you but we also have to learn when to give credit where credit is due.

 

I think the team would perform better if they weren't missing the Azie factor.

 

New mods been killing it, good to see the report a scumbag section has been emptying out fast. U go girls!

 

Mods are doing a great job. They're both quick and reasonable when it comes to handling disputes. It's sad to say, but in a lot of cases (on other sites) mods neglect their duties and act like kings with no humbleness. This hasn't been the case with sythe... yet.

As for admins, they're doing good as usual.

 

Staff and ex-staff are my favorite people on Sythe. They look out for others, generally have a very logical approach to things, and have some of the more interesting and well-rounded personal lives. Cool people.

Current staff seem to be doing a good job keeping on top of everything. Good stuff all-around.

 

Roughly 40% I would say is completely inactive or uninvolved in the community right now. A change is needed.

Mainly:
Island - never on not sure what he does or contributes.
Hahanerd - never on not sure what he does or contributes
Azie - always on DND on discord but no idea what he actually does as he doesn’t post or interact on either platform.
Killswitch - was very active but seems like they fell off.
Tyler - got mod to launch his AIO services and has done slim to none since.

 

It's as if you've only applied for mod (according to yourself) after a few weeks of being really active on Sythe? Staff have lives too . . .

On another note, staff seems to be running smooth. I'd like to also note that I see Azie on Discord (but not typing) a lot but have yet to see him on the forums.

 

I think people forget that when you see staff have periods of inactivity, it's well planned in advance and the other staff members are aware. I also don't see any harm in keeping less active staff on board because it doesn't take away from how competent they are at moderating. You guys may be unaware, but we don't technically have a limit as to how many people can be staff at once. If you're active, willing, competent, and basically not an idiot we'll bring you on board. That's just my two cents but what do I know?

I think staff are fine, some are inactive but they will step down or get demoted in time. Kudos to admins for being a little more forceful with their demotes (for better or worse in cases).

I think the biggest problem I've seen currently is Staff making a thread for a company they don't actually run (and in some cases I believe have 0 ownership in). The majority stakeholder of a company should be the only one able to make the thread for it.

These staff members should know better - it doesn't even matter if they are responsible for any scams in my mind... it's not their company and "paying" a mod to put his "[mod]" tag on his thread title is more bribery than legitimate imho.

I was just writing up an entire thread to put a voice to my opinion since it appears that Sythe has put a voice to his over the past few days. Leaving it at just a post though, since I'm sure it won't result in anything else but bickering. Said individuals will be not interested in any feedback that'd result them in a change of heart - and the community will most likely just nod and ignore because they're too afraid to entertain their opinion.

While I get that everyone's entitled to their opinion especially in Spam Forum, it seems quite weak to post this when said individual was nowhere to be found prior and after said decision. Keep in mind that as lame as it sound all the work, right or wrong, I've done was in favor of your website, Richard. I get that I could've gone to you or anyone else related directly to my demotion I don't really see a point in doing so, since you're all in a position of "Like it or leave" so I'd rather speak to the people who are in a position such as mine with the "like it or leave" saying, which won't be anyone on the staff team.

I've seen quite some series over the past month and am surely not done doing so, though the series I'm watching right now (Outlander) reflects what's going on quite well here. The only difference is; we're in 2019, while the series is mainly about the 18th century. What reflects well here is that we're basically a clan, a community with one leader and quite some followers (staff team) basically making up the rules and maintaining them strongly. I'm at the first season of it now, but no matter what Claire (the main character) says about them eventually losing the battle, they still go on with their battle and would rather fall down together than saving their own ass. There is however one clan member who makes the stay of Claire rather convenient; Jamie. Despite Claire knowing the future - he has so far not once asked how she's gotten to know said information and instead keeps on defending Claire and making sure her stay there goes well.

While I don't mean to say that Sythe is a sinking ship; on the contrary; I believe communities such as these will last forever as long as the owner wishes to go on with it - I do wish to say that everyone in the staff team can be a Jamie. While my break so far was not only called for but also rather rude considering said warnings were never once given - it does put everything down very well into perspective. I can say without a doubt that being part of the staff team blinds you for alot. I am not yet sure whether or not if I'll ever be returning as a staff member or not (basically depends on staff voting and myself) but this post is mainly here to encourage the current staff team to stay true to themselves and be vocal about their own opinion to which they're very well entitled to. While this piece of advice might be rather funny to read from a staff member who's been demoted keep in mind that there's a difference in your own opinion and your own decisions - I've had both and while I get that it could've gotten me in the position I'm in right now, there should've been warnings prior which were never given.

 

I just wanna know how a ban evader like TySimpson gets mod. I've seen the posts that are against him, I've seen the profile posts from other staff members who even acknowledged he was an evader and yet you put someone who knowingly breaks the rules as a moderator? Good job, admins. You're officially retarded.

 

Pretty clear a large majority of staff team or at least half is inactive. If a member isn't active, they shouldn't be staff at all. Period. When i say not active, I don't mean that they're doing minimal work, but they're doing absolutely nothing. It reflects poorly on the community as a whole when new people come around attempting to contact staff members and more than half of the team doesn't even login or really respond to DMs/concerns.


Give them their ex-rank and allow them to opt back into staff once they decide to actually do something besides just hording a fun rank it seems. Staff currently has minimal interaction outside of shitposting on discord.

Props to @Pendulum and @Gladiator. Also honorary props to @Wortel as even though he isn't staff anymore, he is still doing more than most of the others.

 

I only receive roughly 50% of my reported posts back as a notification. Staff need to be diligent and sign off on their posts, otherwise it looks from our end that they were ignored.
