Official Wortel Demotion "F" to Pay Respects Thread

I have no intention on leaking the private chat I've had with Shin, sure I was verbal and sure most of the reasons given are true, but one that isn't true is that I was given warnings prior to a demotion neither do I believe I'm in need of a break. While I get that a professional opinion is required, I do have a feeling that I expressed said opinion alot of times, I just refuse to suppress my personal opinion since I am who I am and whether or not people feel offended by it is basically their opinion. Sure my behavior in some situations needed fine tuning but a break won't teach that to me, actually mentoring and correcting me as an admin should would, however. But then again it was hard to get a hold on most so I guess a demotion is the easier option here so that I can figure it out myself. If anything at all, me being demoted with the reason that I should need a break is the cause why I would need a break, because it sure as hell messed up my head.

 

If no prior warnings were delivered then I disagree with their decision. If you were being a hothead or letting your emotions get the best of you (whatever form they may have claimed), then maybe you do need a break/demotion... But honestly, it just doesn't make sense... If they didn't outright say... "Hey if you get out of hand again, it's gonna lead to a demotion", then I have to say it's pretty silly... Especially considering what you have done for Sythe...

@Wortel im sorry for your loss, the site doesn’t deserve you.... let it run amok with vaders and sq’s and then they’ll be begging you for your service; they’ll pay you for it. Just know theres nothing wrong with being overly emot- passionate about a job, and it makes sense if it eventually got to you, because having to clean up the scum of sythe and do all the admins and mods jobs for them can be extremely tiring and irritating work... I guess. Richard should be apologising to you. Enjoy your 3 months holiday. ♥️

 

@Shin why would you do this for? Shouldn’t be upset that wortel became a better admin. idk what y’all doing or what happened, but looks clear the community would want wortel as admin? Why wouldn’t u teach him? (I agree with the whole deranking will not help him learn or change) been banned from discord servers many times and it doesn’t change me, doesn’t make me act different, until people actively attempt to talk to you and try help and teach you how not to *break rules, or how to implement your *blunt opinions into society.

Idont know if wortel broke rules, abused his role? Banned people for the sake of it? Or if it was just his manners and overall opinions and personality. It makes sense he would be overly opinionated if there are no other // or are no as active admins/mods.

Most of you need to chill out, No hate on wortel but he did do some stuff he wasn't suppose to. He could use the break i feel like he was way too obsessed with catching vaders and the site. Whenever he couldn't prove someone was a vader he would really try hard to find any sort of evidence against them. There were some reports/disputes i remember seeing and just straight up thinking how is this allowed.

At the end of the day you've done a lot for the site and you've kept people safe and if you want you still can carry on. I know @Wortel you won't have the tools you use to but correct me if i'm wrong you were using them the wrong way? The ip lookup and other searches a mod can do is to verify any reports not be used to make new ones.

I feel like you were given warnings from back when i was on staff and even if you weren't you've been mod for over a year and a half honestly you shouldn't need warnings at that point. Saying you refuse to suppress your personal opinion isn't going to help, You need to learn to put aside whatever obsession you have with catching vaders because the truth is if you suspect someone of vading your attitude towards them when handling reports/disputes involving them is different and you treat them a little unfair.

Your post is primarily focussed on catching ban evaders when that was literally not mentioned when I got demoted.

 

Your obsession with ban evaders is linked to the way you act in reports/disputes

 

Perhaps but there’s still no warnings given to me that I should improve my behavior or it would result in a demotion, neither did they ever help assist me adjusting my behavior. My attitude was more a problem than my need to seek justice for all rule offenders.

 

I personally thought you were told multiple times / everyone was reminded about professionalism. I might be wrong but that's what i remember it was mentioned a few times to all staff how to handle stuff etc I don't really think warnings are necessary for that when people have been told in a group

 

There's a difference in being given advices how to improve in order to get a chance at becoming admin and being given formal warnings about improving your behavior because otherwise I'd be demoted.
