Is it weird to go on clubbing your own?

No it's not. Going to movies alone is fun cause you're treating yourself. Of course, it can be fun with friends as well, but sometimes you gotta chill out by yourself.

Same for clubs. If you want to meet new people - go without friends. You'll be more social and won't have that comfortable circle that you can get back to, so it teaches you to rely on yourself more.

Personally, I like to ditch my friends at night and go someplace where I have to socialize with strangers to have fun.

 

I guess different strokes for different folks.

 

There is so much you can do to meet people , are there any hobby's you have that you could use to meet locals? That's what i would try , i personally would never go out clubbing by myself. But i don't think there's anything wrong if u would. You never know you might end up meeting a great group of new people. You won't achieve anything with staying home

my really good friends brother used to have a club, we spent there pretty much every weekend, there were many times when they asked me for a help alone, so I had to come alone to help them at entrance tickets or smth and later on I just go to party, tbh few of those times going alone were the best ones, can't even compare with the ones when you go with friends, cus then it's nothing planned and anything can happen, and while working in club, I've seen many people who just come alone kinda shy and later on they party with friends they met or new people and it's completely nothing weird about it.

It really just comes down to your own confidence in yourself. If you go out worrying about how other people are going to see you, you'll probably wind up having a shit time. I guarantee that other guy who goes out alone gives 0 fucks about what anyone is thinking or saying about him.

From personal experience, the first time going to any social setting alone can be really awkward or even a bit depressing lol. It really is good way to meet new friends or to really just enjoy time figuring out new things about yourself. Stop worrying what other people think and go do the things that you enjoy

 

Do you have work friends or do you not know anybody from this new place you live at? I would see if they are interested in going out anywhere.

Otherwise, I don't think it'd be weird. You can hide it quite well e.g. if someone asks who you came with etc. you could just say oh one of them got sick or something if you are self concious about being there alone. Nobody would second guess that.

 

Gotta start somewhere, weird or not you will always be alone unless you go somewhere alone lol.

 

The main purpose here isn't meeting people. I have plenty of friends, they just sometimes make new plans and therefore cancel their initial plan of going out to a pub we usually go to. My question here is simply if they cancel their plans, is it weird to go on your own still even if you do know people inside still?

 

If you know the people inside I have no idea how this would be considered weird I feel like meeting your friends out at a club/pub/bar is a standard social scenario

I used to get super fucked up and go dance alone at this club. Wasn't trying to get girls I just love dancing and liked getting hit on. Got kinda old though, really don't vibe with the scene.

clubbing by yourself is something i would probably never do. I have more fun clubbing with friends and of course alcohol is a big factor into how much fun i have. Usually everyone goes to the club with a friend or with a friend group. Also your appearance is a big factor on whether or not people want to approach you.

 

I don't think it's weird, no. It all depends on how you feel about it ! If you feel comfortable doing so, go ahead, noone should judge you !

 

Assuming you’ve read the OP you would know that in this instance all my friends went elsewhere.

 

If you have an easy time making friends, definitely go. Most of the times when I go out clubbing I get separated from my friends and end up with random new people

You just need to be confident if you go alone.

 

In my opinion going to the "club" on your own is a little unusual depending on how u play it....the bar less so. With that being said I went to las vegas for a grad school interview recently ( 2 weeks ago) I was in a similar situation as yourself. I still went out on my own because it is vegas. If you have strong enough social skills u can easily find someone to talk to, just don't hold any expectations. Some people don't have the "talent" of being able to go out on their own so I applaud anyone who does. However, sometimes it isn't wise to go out on your own because anything could happen and its better to be with people who have your back in case of altercations/incidents.

 

I am usually get very anxious when I go out on my own at first, but once I meet someone I usually loosen up and the night ends up being better. One thing I have noticed about clubs is that you usually get split up from your friends anyhow, depending on the club you will end up always meeting a few new people just in one night. All in all if you aren't completely insecure you will have a good time.
