[Denied]Force all gold traders to disclose more clearly what they require before an order.

Ok here's a new suggestion. It's controversial I understand but hear me out.

Suggestion: Force all PayPal / Debit / Credit Card accepting traders to disclose more clearly what they require before an order.

Far too many times the end-buyer doesn't know that they require ID or other methods of verification, it seems they only find out once the actual order has paid for on the buyer's side. Then they have a policy that a refund will be done within an unnecessary amount of time to force them to comply.

It should be disclosed very boldly, and unmissable of what is required before funds exchanged.

I also noticed some people weren't reading FancyHire's terms, so I experimented with ensuring they learn and understand them. Gold sites are no different and should have these ignorant/first-time buyers educated before they place an order.

Blatantly botting Sythe vouches? How is this OK?

 

Dirty practices? I get you might not want to show ID but they're happy to refund you if you don't want to i don't see that as a dirty practise (if you're referring to something else please say)

also you can't bot sythe vouches lmao and even if you could who said it's okay to do so? it's against the rules.

My problem Isn't the fact that they asked me for ID verification.
Not at all..
I understand, normally that'd be completely fine with me.

If It wasn't for the fact that, not until AFTER they had taken my money.
I was told the following:


It could've been avoided,
I could've simply paid 4% extra
and used G2A Pay.
If I did, none of this would have been required.


They did not tell me this until after I had paid,
I paid through the first option on display.

Literally the FIRST Option,

From a design perspective this is really toxic and non-consumer friendly


This sort of practice, Is not okay at all.


And I feel, I was very mature about the situation.
I chose to speak to them about this, stating that I did not want to make a scam report.

I would've honestly been happy with them keeping my money and just giving me the gold I paid for.



Then they just left the live support chat.



I simply wanted to share my experience with somebody other than the guy I was speaking to earlier.

 

People shouldn't be able to place an order, before its disclosed for them that its required to show ID/verification. i support this

 

Even though we have 2 warnings, and 1 huge banner making it clear what our non ID payment methods are, I get at least 10+ orders a day where people don't read.

I don't think this should be a rule because at the end of the day 90% of the people aren't even going to read the fine print.

 

Disclosing requirements clearly before the buyer makes (or even thinks of making) a purchase should be forced.

 

Every site i've looked at has this in their FAQ and TOS, ID verification is for anti-fraud, which there is a lot of in Paypal.

I agree, but people are lil snakes, and try to get to the very end knowing they need ID, and end up "not having one". So it goes both ways. I do think traders need to advertise what exactly they'll need, if accepting a payment that requires an extra step.

 

Having spoken to some site owners about why this is their policy, many times it is part of a security measure to prevent paypal frauding. I don't believe there is any ill will occurring here of some attempt to lock in a customer's payment and then spring these ID requirements on them. As long as the ID requirements are stated somewhere on the site, in the terms or somewhere else, this is allowed
