Gaming has always interested me. I've played games, lead several communities, played amateuristic-competitively and so on. My first First Person Shooter was probably WarRock which I played both legit and have cheated in. This is where I've gotten into my first clan and played several "wars" - which were literally a blast. Not exactly sure how many hours I've put into this, but I've put quite a bit of money in it. Later on I went on playing Call of Duty 2 (probably 1000+ hours), Call of Duty 4 (most likely 4000+ hours), Modern Warfare 2, CS:GO, PUBG, Overwatch and so on. One thing that kept bothering me in each and every game is my skill. I would've expected by playing for probably over 15 years of games that by now I would've gotten some kind of skill, but I easily get outskilled by new players. Users I've played with are now playing competetively or atleast have grown some kind of skill I have yet to reach. Sure, my gaming gear especially in terms of PC components and keyboards isn't the greatest, but even those who own goldsites here and spent most of their time there still outplay me. Someone once made a 2 hour review of my gamestyle but I barely learned anything.

Would there be anyone on here to either play Apex Legends or Overwatch with me to get to know my gamestyle better and give me advices? In the end I've requested this many times and have yet to receive true help, so please be careful when you reply here. One of the main things that could help me is perhaps getting glasses since I know that my eyes suck, especially my left eye, but I doubt getting glasses will improve that much.

It's just getting really frustrating. I'd love to become better in games, and perhaps when I am I could eventually broaden my interests such as in streaming etc.

*NOTE: This service must be done for free, due to this thread: Closing down shop. I can however vouch for you.

If your eyesight truly is that bad, it could be your problem. I have decent eyes but getting glasses turned me from a casual into a monster at COD. It's like the difference between 360p and HD, which in first person shooters can make a huge difference. I'd recommend playing 10 games normally, then getting glasses and playing 10 games. If you don't improve doing that you might want to work on slowly saving for better gaming equipment. You mentioned you play on PC, most PC players have top of the line equipment if they're not casuals. If you've ever played league of legends, you'll understand what I mean when I say little things can add up and make a huge difference. Proper CSing, proper positioning, proper game knowledge, and you can liken these to your situation. Eyesight, equipment, and to be honest time spent can be a factor for you.

You could put 4,000 hours into something, but if you're playing 2 hours a day for 2,000 days you'll be much worse than someone who put in 8 hours a day for 500 days. Consistency is the key, and constantly playing against and with better players than yourself. Another thing I noticed is you have a lot of games mentioned, stick to one and only one until you achieve the skill you desire. If you'd like to get good at apex, I'd recommend shelving all of your other games for now until you get good. Just like my previous statement, if you play overwatch for an hour, then apex for an hour, you're not creating muscle memory or really learning anything. Competitive players and skilled players pump all of their focus into one game

I can give some general tips that i used when i first started playing FPS games:

    • Pick a sensitivity that you like and stick with it, if you keep changing it you will never feel comfortable. Pick a good sensitivity that will allow you move quickly but also aim accurately at far distances. Pick a good aim sensitivity aswell, it should be much lower than your movement sensitivity.
    • Set your own key binds. Never take someone else's settings (a good player for example) and use them because you think "they work for someone else they should work for me." It most likely wont work that way.
    • Keyboard really inst THAT important, but find a very good mouse that fits your hand well and you are comfortable with the weight/movement of it.
    • In a game like Apex this is really hard, but try to go to an area in game alone and fight a lot of people at once, this really raises your awareness and can help your aim if you need to switch between enemies quickly. Go to populated areas right off the bat, dropping in a far spot and looting for the whole game wont help you get better.
    • Play with EVERY gun. If you play with every single gun multiple times, and not just your favorite, you will see yourself get better very quickly. You will start to notice some of how the mechanics work when you do this, and playing with the single fire weapons in particular with help your aim increase a lot.

Hey dude I've got a few overwatch accounts and would happily play a few games with you, I can spectate too just to see if there are any obvious mishaps.
I'm not the best player I sit around 3500-4000sr with most heroes and was supreme in csgo until I quit a few months back. :)
