[DENIED] Disallow People To Add [TRUSTED] Into Their Thread

The problem with this site is that newcomers (buyers) don’t get educated of how trust here works.

Newcomers are able to setup their profile, add whatever they want to their threads like [TRUSTED]
[Donald Trump’s Net Worth Traded]
This gives buyers a false sense of security, allowing people like @The Osrs Market to scamquit seweral hundred dollars in less than a month of being on the site.

What shoulf the threshold be for adding such «titles» in thread? Should we ban it completely?

 

This has already been suggested several times, by myself aswell so I agree with it but I don't see it passing unfortunately.

 

I had no idea about that, thread is open to suggestions/improvement.

 

trusted is objective.


Enforcing this would be a waste of the moderators time, instead we should look at how to better educate new users on scams, and how to evaluate a persons trustworthiness .

Does a great job of exactly that. I almost always link it to people; lots of useful info there on how to determine someone's trustworthiness.

 

Trusted is subjective. Can't really put restrictions on it. like @Tyler said should be working to help warn newcomers in a more efficient way.

Personally I think pop ups would work best. Something that is right in their face automatically. Seeing as how a profile can have a pop up, I assume it would be do-able.

 

No support, its subjective like everybody else is saying.

"Trusted" to one user might not be "trusted" according to another user.

 

It's marketing talk. Users will always claim to be the cheapest, fastest, greatest, most trusted or anything like that. As said a million times before, free market. Hell, open an advertention folder from your post and it'll most likely consist with one of those terms. Denied.
