[DENIED] Can we stop giving name changes to people that have broken trade rules, banned/pardoned?

We already have rules regarding pardoned users when it comes to changing their names.

However, I would fully support changing the rule from 3 months to 6 months since it would give us a bigger picture of how the person is doing after the pardon.

 

Wasn't the rule already changed before in favor of the DNT users? If I recall correctly DNT users were either unable to change their name or they can request a change sooner. It's ridiculous to have a rule changed that has just gotten ruled into their favors.

 

Support, name changes shouldn't be used for escaping your shady past, and should only be available for people who haven't been reported for poor trading practices for at least a year or so(Depending on the severity)

 

Better yet, don't let him back under any name.

 

Gotta cater to the scammers so they can scamquit, pardon, namechange. Scam quit more than the first time, and repeat

 

• If your name is changed, your User Title will be edited to reflect your previous name for 6 months unless only a capitalization or de-capitalization occurs.
• All name changes will be listed in the List of Username Changes thread unless only a capitalization or de-capitalization occurs.

Half a year is a lot of time for the community to realise x user has changed names + it will forever be a part of the name changes thread so I tend to believe we have all the resources on our hands to indentify and inform ourselves on a said user. I am also leaning towards the pardon = clean slate argument. Furthermore, the fact that if they decide to request a name change, they are well aware of the potential monetary/reputation impacts it may bring and it's a choice they have to live with. With that being said, it's a no support from me.

Once a user has successfully pardon, they are on a clean slate. If you wish to know any information about a user, you are more than welcome to browse the archives and see the past history of that user.
