I assume you mean trying to hang yourself. Let yourself wobble, then use the momentum to swing a bit and kick your leg across the side of the chair.

IMO, rethinking your decision only helps if you have a way to get out of the situation. Having some big chair or something you can grab onto right next to you helps that. Having an inaccessible knocked over chair next to you doesn't.
