    I know it resembles runescape, but that's not the purpose, its to outline the key functions of the new game, such as switching to and from 1st person to 3rd person, please if you have any suggestions post them don't just tell me it looks too much like runescape. Thank You,

    Sounds awesome. I think it should be a lil more leaned to Diablo. Diablo 2 is AWESOME but absolutly nothing to do when you max out a character. I'm all for it. If you need any help pm me. I dont see anything I could really do though, since I'm not good with programming.

    I was more like thinking of making it like CS, But its way more different like there will be bazooka's, Bows, Blade/Swords and many more.

    well i can help fund to because it seems like its a marvelous idea so we need to get some people with alot of creativity and good imagination and coding skills to help us get this game made.

    Hmm, i dont think you should really choose a class at the beginning, i think you should choose a race, each yielding their own benefits. I think as you get your skill up in the game your class will change accordingly using the classes that Finnins provided.

    I was thinking that after mankind expanded into space there would be a geographical separation of culture so wide it would facilitate the co-existence of medieval society on far away moons, technological society on central planets, and fantasy / bizarre society on inter-dimensional.

    But thats just one way to do it.

    Well I think its pretty clear that everyone is highly interested in it. I am looking into practical steps we can take to get the ball rolling.

    Typically software is written in three phases:
    Planning
    Implementation
    Testing

    Since the bulk of the implementation will be outsourced (I.e. someone will be hired to do it) that leaves Planning to us. Which is how it should be.

    Of course, in order to progress from step 1 to step 2 we need to produce a specific set of requirements with prototypes etc.

    My thoughts are that we should have a Game Dev section on sythe.org with Game Contributor ranks for people who are contributing art, music, ideas, prototypes etc. We should work on a set of requirements and when everyone is happy I will submit them to the developers to have it coded up.

    As the coders reach milestones I will post the screenshots / progress reports on the forum for everyone to see and comment on. We can correct the direction of the game if we don't like it.

    Taking donations is also a reasonable idea. There is a good chance this project will go over budget.

    So currently the first goal is to get a set of requirements and a statement of work. So its time to setup some forums for this process to get started.

    I quite like the idea, all i hope for is that the graphics are very good, and i would like to see more big swords such as swords from the game Cabal, and more features from WoW like a clan bank, i would love to see this happen, so i am IN.
