• Report/post/reason that got you banned: My account was hacked and the hacker scammed the user "cicdealer" for an undisclosed amount. I forgot what the number was, but it was over 100m OSRS.
• Proof of contacting victims for repayment or repayment of victims: I contacted cicdealer on his profile page, since for some reason I am not allowed to send him a private message. There is fault on my part for reaching out to him late, but lately (for the past couple of years) I have been busy tending to in real life obligations.

• Detailed description of the events that took place and why you think we should forgive you: I have been inactive from sythe for a long time, simply because I have more important real life obligations that I must deal with. University, work, and an internship have taken a large portion of my energy and time - leaving runescape and sythe on the back burner. Because of nostalgia and a hope to return to old hobbies, I logged onto sythe to find out that my account has been hacked and that there was a scam report opened. Long story short, moderators were able to put the pieces together and find out that my account has been hacked by a scammer. The appeal process took time and effort, and eventually my busy schedule overshadowed sythe and it was once again forgotten. I have been attempting to find ways to contact cicdealer to work out a payment plan for a refund, as it was a rather large amount, but he has shown no activity since the event either. I like to believe I had some good times with sythe, and that it definitely enhanced my runescape experience. I tried looking for his discord/skype, but he did not publicly post his discord. Tried checking the messages the scammer sent, and there was no contact information. I went back to the scam report to try to watch the video and see if I could catch his discord on there, but the youtube account got closed. I have no methods left in attempting to contact him. Until he is back, I would like to return to sythe with access to its services and market, as it brings me a unique experience with runescape. I admit fault to my account being hacked and my inactivity. It was my responsibility and I failed to put priority on the situation before and as it occurred. I like to believe that I brought and offered value towards sythe as an active market member. I contributed in misc. conversations in off-topic sections of sythe. I hope to continue this activity in the future if given the opportunity to return. Thank you for your time and consideration.

I've checked his IP audit and noticed he has gone TWC evading once again, a punishment will soon follow for this, though for now feel free to try and get in touch with @i am mafa. Ask him to recover/get on his account known as "cicdealer" (or present any other kind of proof to you to confirm he's @cicdealer) and once that's done settle out the debt between you two. I tried to respond/post on the thread but it seems like it is locked. I have contacted "i am mafa" in regards to his alternative account "cicdealer", but have yet to receive a response. I reached out last friday. I contacted the original account "cicdealer" on October 10, 2018. Would I need to create another DNT pardon 1 month after my contact with "i am mafa" or does the time from when I reached out to cicdealer count?

 

Yeah atleast try for 2 weeks to get in touch with him. I've requested some of the people he vouched for to provide me with his Discord ID meanwhile. One of them replied with "mafa#6580" (Unique ID: 473980739369697281). Try and get in touch with him aswell. Make sure he confirms on @cicdealer that's his account.

I came in contact with i am mafa and he claims that he is not associated with cicdealer. @Wortel also saw the reply on his profile page. At this moment, I am wondering what steps I should take since the user "i am mafa" claims no association, which was our only lead to cicdealer.

 

How did you figure out about this?

It was discussed in the previous scam report, if you look at the edits it might be there somewhere. But it was in the video that was posted on the scam report before it was taken down.

 

I've had an administrator look through the PM's and it appears it was 200M 07GP. Would you be fine refunding this to community repayment fund? This will most likely be via Bitcoins.

I have no problem with refunding cicdealer since it was he who lost the money, but to be honest, with me refunding cicdealer I would be losing 200m out of my own pocket too (which I don't have in rsgp, will have to pay real money or work out a payment plan). I am not too fond with the idea of "donating" 200m 07 OSRS to the website in order to be unbanned. I'm sorry, but I just don't see how that is relevant to this situation. If we are speaking honestly, I had no negative or immoral intention break the rules and scam cicdealer. It was an unfortunate event in which case my account was hacked and someone was scammed. That person, if he chooses to respond someday, has the right to the 200m. But someone else getting that money or me losing that money to something else just doesn't sit right with me. I know it will effect my chances of getting unbanned, but I hope that someone can see my perspective in this situation too.

 

Your Sythe account is your responsibility. @cicdealer was scammed and is now banned, so this goes to community repayment fund. No exceptions.
