Runescape is thriving!

How do you guys feel about how much OSRS right now. The numbers are rising and the gold prices are going up like crazy! what do you guys think will happen in the next couple months? or years?

 

Stabilization

 

I think it's stable for now - I do love seeing over 100k players online at a time, very exciting. More people giving OSRS a chance will create many more addicts

 

Well does anyone really play Pokemon GO anymore? I'm skeptical of how long the 130k+ players online will last.

It's a step in the right direction for sure though!

 

Considering the return of Old School Runescape back in early 2013, popularity went up drastically — truly a gift from Beelzebub himself. Now, the up and coming mobile play-ability, which is still in it's very prime, statistically it's rising just as fast as the initial 07 server start up. I'm excited, hell it even got me back on; behold the nostalgia. Honestly, I hope it makes a peeking return just like it was back in the day. I can't wait to pretend like I'm drinking my parents beers and skipping school.

 

140k online not that long ago, pretty exciting stuff!

 

Things will rise right now, they will rise for months, the economy is going to be completely twisted for a bit, this is what I think.

Over the next year or 2 it will rise, peak, and stabilize just as OSRS did after initial release.

 

Awesome number for players online. Gold prices have skyrocketed though

 

i do like that there are more players makes it feel more like it did back in the day, however i have a feeling that will drop down quickly

so pumped.. it was so demotivating to play before mobile osrs came out we had an average of like 30-40k players & now 130-140k. Makes you actually excited to play the game and get them gainz once again

It will stay like this for a few weeks, then shrink to numbers slightly above pre-mobile. Then it'll stabilize around 70k peaks, hopefully.

 

It is just because of the hype of mobile it will drop again

 

It will drop down to a level which is still higher than what we normally have.
That is what matters.

 

I do think it will even drop more within 6-7 months it's just because of hype belive me same happend when raids came and top of it christmas is here so yeah after xmas session it might be even worser.

 

It'll go down, but it's going to go down to a level that was higher than the player base would be pre-mobile. There will be some new
players who only play mobile, returning players who have it on their phones. For a phone game, RS can be one of the best games
on the phone for an RPG game, I think people will continue to play it.

MOBILE won't make anyone quit, just some new players.

 

How many players do you believe will be online ~1 year from now?

 

I believe 130-150k still
