Legal or not?

I was wondering if it would be legal to make an osrs gold selling app on the apple store? What would be the whole legal standpoint behind it?

 

I mean it's not against the law to sell OSRS gold, it's just against the in-game rules.

 

Your app will be taken down as soon as it get noticed so no its not viable.

 

Ahh ok I was just wondering the legal standpoint like can they sue me for doing it etc.

 

Jagex would go and get the app taken down instantly or worst case potentially sue you yeah, as has been seen before with large bot companies/RWT companies.

stick to websites and just make it mobile friendly

 

Jagex will take app down from stores for copyrights claim. They took my service's facebook fanpage down few weeks ago which was active since 2009.

 

It's hard to believe that they have someone working on this! Jagex is nuts.

 

You won't have a problem with the legal world, unless you make a large amount of money Jagex may try and sue you, I'm not sure the legal cause behind it but I'm pretty sure there is going to be legal action if you make alot of money by breaking in-game rules, then selling all that money which is also breaking in-game rules for profit.

I would stick to small easy stuff.

Your app will 100% be removed as soon as someone posts it on reddit or sends it to Jagex.
