Those who care: I've found a job, a new request for insurance and the objection for the first denial have been sent. Starting on my new job next monday.

For those who care; I've listed proof for them of over 200+ donations aswell as about 100+ other vouches. After that we've received mails and calls from them asking me to provide a list of all contents because I provided alot of information. Both the objection and new requests have been sent in and we've already heard that my objection has a very small chance of succeeding. They also told me that if I'd work 2 hours more I'd be above the minimum wage and in that case you don't have the right to receive the insurance anymore. They literally adviced me to just start handling donations or w/e here again, so that the additional 100EUR a month would be received from here. Because IF I'd be willing to have the insurance, I must request a removal of my account here (which I already told them numerous times is impossible) or atleast terminate my bondholdership - which would be no problem for me.

Anyways, it's a living joke. We've been dancing around since July with them now and all they really did was consider me as someone who'd abuse the system. I've spent literally multiple days getting all the information together and their first response was that it was too much information while it was all the information they asked for. Considering the circumstances I've been living in IRL lately they are a living joke, but oh well. I believe however they could've calculated months earlier how much I'd earn approx a month and how big the chances were to get the insurance.

Right now I have some time to think about it. Perhaps I could/should continue my business here, though I'll be less active for sure considering the fact I've gotten a job IRL now.

 

Reopening this to seek advice in regards to the following:

I have a decision to make. And there are 2 options.

1. Quit all trading activities permanently and receive the insurance benefits. (approx 100EUR per month extra)
   Upsides
   - Calmer in my head
   - More free time to use for moderating/gaming/myself
   - Something else (feel free to ask privately)
2. Start up all trading activities again and try to take care of myself by finding a way via e.g. Sythe.org to earn the additional 100EUR per month atleast.
   Upsides
   - No restrictions
   - I get to assist users in donating again - though I'll most likely quit doing RSGP trades
   - I have a bigger chance of ever being chosen "most trustworthy" once

Though there are downsides too for both. If I say YES to the insurance that means I get to fill out some papers on a monthly basis, but I also will be restricted from helping out the community - though if I do get to help the community by saying NO to the insurance, I'll still have to request some kind of fee so in a way I'll still not be helping the community, while helping out myself more.

There's alot to this and keep in mind this is about the new insurance request (requested late October), the objection against the first denial of my insurance is still going - but I have a bad feeling that saying NO to this insurance might affect the decision making on the objection aswell, even though the municipality here claims it won't.

 

If you get a promising job here, take it. Keep in your mind that not many jobs on sythe.org are as promising as you want

 

I'm not referring to jobs, I'm referring to advertisements and fees for donations. I have found a job IRL and considering how much current signature advertisements were going for I could easily get the 100EUR additional per month through that.

 

This has been going on since July though, so that'd mean all this was for nothing. Plus if they'll ever assign me the objection that'd mean I'd still get an insurance + get paid for the last few moths at which I'll say YES for sure because that involves thousands of euros. At that point we'd be back to square one, but then again I have my highest doubts they'll assign the objection to me.

 

Well what they were saying is that the decision is basically in my hands now, this second request I can get the insurance for sure. The first one is still being discussed by some kind of commission. The decision about the second one lays in my hands now which is the weirdest choice a municipality could ever make but she suggested me I should consider picking up trading here etc again because I might not like all the restrictions from the insurance, but then again it's not that weird for them to tell a citizen to figure out his income, so that they don't have to pay for it.

 

It's impossible to wait for that, we've already requested a delay of a week to decide on this one, so I have until Thursday to decide on this second request and later on the objection will be decided on.

This is the better option. Nobody doubts the work you do for this website, but there comes a time when you need to take care of yourself before looking to help the website.

Things like mental health, stability, and a secure income are much better than the option you are suggesting. There's a quote I hear every now and again.

"Don't put yourself on fire to make others warm"
