I've personally tried everything apart from magic mushrooms.

Taken LSD and its basically the same thing, so I haven't bothered with the shrooms.

The majority of them I tried out of curiosity so I could have an opinion in discussions such as these.

What makes someone a scum bag for taking something other than weed? What's the difference between MDMA and weed?? What about lSD, Steve Jobs took LSD and you probably have an iPhone in your hand

 

Just my mary jane. Doing hard drugs means you don’t care about yourself or wellbeing.

 

what about people who are strong-minded and consume them occasionally? i.e., have full control over when they decide to take them, take as many safety precautions possible (such as reagent testing) and avoid heavily addictive drugs (such as opiates).

 

Being strong-minded is to acknowledge that hard drugs has no positive aspect for the body of the person consuming/taking it.

 

there's been many intellectuals and respectable individuals that have reported long-term positive effects after using psilocybin mushroom's, MDMA etc. do you not think that there is *anything* positive to gain from taking these substances in a controlled manner on a very infrequent basis?

 

Doesn’t change the fact that these hard drugs do not benefit your health, both mind and body. Having success subsequent to using hard drugs isn’t an indication of the drug being the cause of that. Enrichment of the mind does not come from something that can destroy it.

 

I would argue that there is potential for some hard drugs to benefit your mental health, absolutely. There's probably documented evidence of this in fact, I'm just too lazy to find it (think MDMA treatment to treat PTSD etc.)

ultimately boils down to subjectivity, but from my personal experience of taking MDMA just once (it's been ~6 months since that one occasion) I genuinely believe it did me more good than harm. not only was the experience immeasurably fun, it definitely changed my perspective in a very positive way. I'm far less bothered by what others think, less anxious in that aspect also. it's a hard feeling to explain but I'm very happy with the gradual mental transformation I've had, and I definitely believe my MDMA experience contributed towards that.

 

There is no potential for hard drugs to benefit the mind. Substance abuse comes with repeated use of hard drugs. Personal experience does not change the fundamental fact that hard drugs does more bad than good in any capacity.

 

Substance abuse is a very different thing entirely.

I'd have to argue that they can certainly benefit the mind, additionally MDMA is pretty damn safe as long as you are sure about what it is you are taking (see: reagent testing). I think seeing it so black and white is a little ignorant, but you're welcome to your own opinion, I used to feel similarly.

 

Reading what you are saying, You are a little ignorant. *Additional MDMA* Is pretty safe aha u sound like a druggy I know who believes most drugs are *safe* and can be taken at their own will. Go take some more drugs so you ain't telling MDMA is safe for everyone to take. (This sounds more meaner then I wanted) I'm sorry no offence was meant!

 

Taking drugs doesn't make you a bad person, just like going to church doesn't make you a good person.

 

I smoke weed everyday and i'll occasionally hit a few dabs. I find it very easy to continue focusing in life when you're going through a tough time

I never said it makes you a bad person. Self-care and hard drugs don’t go together.

It’s not debatable. Hard drugs damages the mind and body of the person using/taking it.

“Self-care is any activity that we do deliberately in order to take care of our mental, emotional, and physical health.“

Deliberately taking hard drugs would negatively impact all of the above.
